Hi, has anyone used this for at least a year yet? Do you still feel like it was a good choice? Are you still using it without any mechanical problems?

Got this for my mom 3 years ago. Full size version. She's a heavy lady and has used it a lot without any problems. Very sturdy, very quiet operation. I would recommend in a heartbeat.

with a queen mattress will both sides work at the same time as in no split mattress

Yeas & No. It depends... If you want both sides to adjust identically at the same time you have to have the frame connector attaching the inside of both frames together at the head and another at the foot. BUT if you only want one side to move while the other doesn't, just don't have the connector parts screwed into each rail side. I purchased my frame elsewhere but by talking to customer service I found out that it is possible to purchase a 2nd remote from them for the other side to be able to be adjusted how they want if they want different than you want your side. To make this queen size work for 2 people's different preferences I also purchased a queen memory foam mattress and cut it in half with a long serrated bread loaf knife and covered each mattress side with twin size zippered mattress covers because of our allergies. Having the ability to be able to adjust each side differently with this mattress set up and getting a 2nd remote will definitely be awesome in every way imaginable for you or anyone else.

I want to use a king mattress. Is this base good for king mattress. Dont want a split

The split king is good for one regular king mattress. However you will need the sync kit in order to strap both 1/2's together and use one control which will lift and lower both 1/2's together. Contact Pragma customer service for the kit.

Where can you purchase a split queen mattress?

we purchased this: Pragma Bed Cloud Rest 6-Inch Memory Foam Mattress, Queen Sold by: Xcess Limited We planned to cut it in half lengthwise but are able to use it as one piece. call pragma to get a better idea if you need it split. they were very helpful
