I recently updated from iphone 11 to a 16. I was using Carplay in my Equinox all the time until my new phone. The cords I had would charge my phone but not connect the maps on my screen in the car. After reading up on it, I got this cord to connect my 16 to carplay. It worked right away!!!! The cords is flexible and durable enough. So excited to use my carplay maps again!!

The media could not be loaded. I didn’t realize I could use CarPlay with a cable - I’d been experimenting with Bluetooth devices when I found out.Bluetooth options are all well and good, but they still take up your USB port, and you can’t charge your phone with them, at least as far as I’ve seen. A lot of them have cables, too. To charge your phone, you need an additional port, possibly through the use of an adapter for the cigarette lighter (which couldn’t be used for CarPlay).Bluetooth options also have the disadvantage of latency - e.g., pause or stop what you’re listening to, and be prepared to wait a few seconds for it to actually stop.This cable charges my phone while connecting it to CarPlay, and it has basically no latency (a split second, sometimes?). It’s a really good cable - obviously well-built, nice and floppy, with a rubber/silicone cable tie.Oddly, I’ve found that no matter what I use, the car often doesn’t transfer the display to CarPlay when I first start the car; it gives control to the device as far as audio is concerned, but not always video. Fortunately, this cable does update my car’s native display to include an icon for CarPlay, which fixes that right up; my first Bluetooth one had to be unplugged and plugged back in.I really like my last Bluetooth CarPlay adapter, but I think I’ll still use this cable instead, mainly because latency drives me nuts. If you want a good, inexpensive alternative for CarPlay, I really recommend this one.

This cable is perfect for my car! It is braided and works perfectly to connect my car for use with CarPlay. It is just long enough to give me the distance I need between the port and the phone, but not so long that it’s in the way. It charges my phone quickly, which was a surprise considering how inexpensive it is. I’m planning to purchase one for each of my cars!

Worked great with my android. Exactly what was needed to get my android auto to work again. Sturdy durable cable. Snapped in with no loose connection. Seems like it will last a while. Charging speed was fast. Was very pleased overall.
