Q: Can it go in the dishwasher for cleaning?

After checking the instructions on the box it states hand wash. It splits into 3 bits and is very easy to clean and dry. I do not think you would even require to put it into a dishwasher. Our pup Rodney loves it and you can set the size of the hole for treats to come through. I even break up my treats to put in. Hope this helps.

Q: Would this be too small for a Rotweiller?

I have a miniature schnauzer who loves it. Its pretty robust but I don't know if it will stand up to a Rotweiller!

Maybe is ok if he is not a destroyer, we used it for our bulldog puppy. As you can see the egg is not massive big if your dog is big maybe is not really useful. Anyway the toy is heavy and the quality of the materials in my opinion is good.
