Have been using this wheel for years. Works great to produce a fine line due to the little serrated wheel and can be refilled so it is much better than pencils and other markers. Have one for home and one for my travel sewing bag.

The listing is misleading, I also did not receive a wheel and a refill. The chalk the wheel came with also exploded all over. It's a good idea and the little I could use it it was fine!

I bought this and the related pink chalk version in preference to the similar items from Dritz because I wanted the additional chalk colors (Dritz only supplies white and light blue) and I wanted to be able to match the unit color to the chalk color (Dritz has random body colors with no relation to the chalk color.) The wheel makes a nice very thin line that is excellent for precision marking.Something to know if you buy this: The package doesn't mention this, but before you can use it, you will need to extract the chalk cartridge, pry out the bottom cover of the cartridge to release the chalk, and reinsert it back into the unit. This isn't difficult, it's just a little fiddly. I suggest performing this operation over a piece of paper. There won't be a lot of chalk spillage, but you are likely to get a few stray grains.

This is an excellent way to mark material for sewing. I works smoothly and lays a thin line. It can be refilled too! I love it!

Was exactly as described. Worked as expected. It fit my chalk wheel perfectly even though my chalk wheel is a different brand.

Won't roll. Keeps getting jammed.
