Goodbye Blanket Weed Treatment for Ponds 25g, Pack of 10 Sachets – 100% Natural Pond Cleaner – 1 Sachet Treats 1000 Gallons of Pond Water

I use one tub of these each year. They are plastic covered packs of powder, the plastic dissolves almost immediately on contact with water. At the start of the year when I see the blanket week I drop a couple in just by the fountain so it disperses. Then every week for a month or two I drop in another. It seems to do the trick on the luminous slimy blanketweed growing among the plants. It doesn't get rid of all of the non-slimy stuff but it keeps it down and along with a bit of easy manual removal the pond is relatively clear. I use a stick and twirl it in the blanketweed for manual removal. I'm happy with the product and it is easier to use than liquids as there is no mess.

We have 3 nature ponds in our garden and they are often blighted with slimy blanket weed, So I thought i'd give this a try, I dropped 1 sachet in the larger pond and dissolved another in a watering can and shared it between the two smaller ones and overnight the majority of the blanket weed has gone and it doesn't seem to of affected the teaming amount of tadpoles we have. Its amazing stuff

Unlike other so called "treatments", this stuff does work. It does take a while but my experience is that given a few weeks, an appalling amount of blanket weed was gone. The gunk in the filter is testimony to it.

Have used this treatment against blanket weed for years, successfully. I was tempted to try another method, involving dissolving a powder in water, which hardly worked at all.

After trying three other products seem to have found one that actually works! Waiting to see if it continues to work when the water warms up but so far very pleased.

Have had trouble with blanket weed in fish ponds for decades. This Nishikoi treatment is the best I've found to date. Only other thing I've found helps... buy a BIGGER pump! :-)

I wouldn't go so far as to say 'goodbye blanket weed' as it doesn't destroy it completely, I used it for 10 weeks in summer and it kept the stuff knocked back. We run a small filter pump which needed clearing every other day. Handy to have the measured doses in sachets.
