Nice light weight four season tent with spacious vestibule
I was searching for an ultralight, four-season tent that would be suitable for backpacking while also providing ample space, particularly with a large vestibule. This tent weighs approximately 5 pounds and utilizes just 3 color-coded poles. Its tunnel design ensures stability in both wind and snow conditions. The setup is straightforward since the inner and outer tents are attached. The vestibule is significantly larger than any other tent I own, making it ideal for cooking in bad weather. Aesthetically, the tent is fantastic; I love its color and look forward to using it for many years to come.

Excellent Tent!
I bought the 2p tent to use alone while backpacking/camping. I think 2 adults would be a tight fit. The vestibule seemed much bigger in other review images but those must have been the 3p. The 2p vestibule will fit a small camp chair but your head will hit the ceiling. I am 5’3 for reference. Set up was easy, but I will be replacing the guy lines with reflective or glow in the dark lines as it comes with grey ones that are easy to trip over especially in the dark. Great value for the cost! This will allow me to change/cook/store gear out of the rain and in privacy. The 2p has only one door but does have two way zipper so you can open the top half for extra ventilation if needed. Perfect tent if you plan to only be in it for sleep/sitting. If you like to stand up in your tent this is not for you. I attached the foot print and leave it attached when put away for easier set up the next time. I recommend the near zero compression tent bag for this or any backpacking tent storage!

It’s nice but…no, it’s great….but….
This is actually a pretty nice tent. The height measure is slightly off but overall quality is great. This tent did not work for me. It’s great but I want to not sit on the ground in vestibule, instead using very tiny camp chairs for backpacking. Sitting on ground is past my age and my army bones. At 5’7, sitting in a tiny chair would only work hunched and two people not happening. Now, this tent is actually so good though that instead of returning, I gave it to my 19 year old son. It packs SMALL. Smaller than the Teton ultra 2 person and this is a 3 person tent with vestibule. Plenty of room for two. Just not what I was needing as I get older and am after a moto tent for Texas.Pro: easy to set up, seems very sturdy, 4K mm for waterproof, ventilation would be fine for 3 seasons at least but maybe sturdy enough for 3+. packs SUPER small. I had actual backpack tents bigger pack.Con: I’d disagree 100% with this being free standing and understand that it is still low so only sitting on ground in vestibule. 3 poles and no middle support, you still need at least two lines out minimum for tent to work so not freestanding.

Original Naturehike Opalus 15D 2-Person vs Opalus UL 15D 2-Person
The media could not be loaded. Original Opalus 15D 2-Person:The original 15D model weighs 3.7lbs. I did not see this model on Amazon anymore but you can check their website. I used this on my hike of the Appalachian trail last year and I wouldn't have changed a thing. It is heavier than some ultralight tents but I personally liked the tunnel tent design and wanted a large spacious vestibule, and this tent was perfect for my needs! The back end folds up on both models, which I used to stargaze while falling asleep 👌Opalus UL 15D 2-Person:Weighs 4.5lbs. The additional weight compared to the original 15D model is a bit disappointing, but I think the tradeoff will be worth it for the improved features.YuksomUL branded aluminum tent poles.New zippable windows on the door, front and back are a welcome addition. I never had issues with condensation or airflow on the original but I do like the added option. The front end can be partially zipped open for airflow, or can be completely folded up now.Sturdy foot-stands for the tent poles to latch into, this is probably where the additional weight comes from.So yeah I highly recommend the Opalus if you're interested in a lightweight tunnel tent! Just be sure to thread the tent poles completely through the loop before bending, or else you will have erection problems like I did.

Fun, easy to assemble and functional tent
I have had quite a few different tents and I have to say this is by far the best one I have ever owned. (Tent company don’t pay me to say that …lol) checking now Very easy to assemble. Even my 16 years old can set it up in 10 minutes (no I didn’t help her!) we used a extra tarp, as we knew that we would be getting big storms for 2 days and nights … lucky us…lolIt is very functional. I would say it’s for three adults maximum. (but my daughter and I used it and we are both 5.5 ft tall and had lots of room.) We have survived big storms (35-40 winds mph) and we where dry inside no problem! We are able to put two portable rocking chairs and have breakfast while it was raining. (See the photos) We have used it about 14 times since June 2022. Yes we love camping!Four days straight rain, and High winds and this tent is standing still and we are dry inside. highly recommend it.

Great tent for price.
Great tent. I have even used this in the winter.Having a covered exposed ground enclosed in the tent with the options for a bug net and a tarp is really convenient and nice, perfect for storing gear or a tent heater in the winter. The description says is a free standing tent, but absolutely is not. If there is no stakes in the ground, it will collapse 100% of the time. When you install the bug net, it droops down a decent amount from the tents walls, making it feel much smaller in the inside, so keep that in mind. For the money, I’d definitely recommend this tent to anybody.
