Glass stove tops can always look dirty, when used a lot, and this silicone cover not only covers any stubborn stains, it serves as a hot trivet for dishes, or pots and pans that won’t slip, that can be used on the countertop while the stove top is in use, to set your dishes on. Cleans easily and looks nice on the stove top, when it isn’t in use.I mainly purchased it, because I have 2 cats, that like to jump from my kitchen island to the counter that has the stove top on it. One, jumped on top of my stove top right after I took a pot off and turned it off. So, it also is a safety precaution, from them burning themselves, while it’s cooling down!I Love it, it serves all the purposes intended for, and low cost for a multi purpose tool.

This was a great purchase. I switched from a gas range to a glass top induction range. This mat fits perfectly and looks nice. It keeps my cooktop clean when prepping food. It provides an extra working area and a great surface when taking hot pans out of the oven. It's easy to clean. It's easy to fold and place to the side when using the cooktop.

The media could not be loaded. I have had this mat since December 2023. I really loved it. It protected my stove top like a champ. I was able to use it as trivet from time to time. It looked great on the stove. It was flexible. Easy to clean. Prefect fit. Great looking material. It checked all of the boxes.Fast forward to June 25, 2025, 2:45am I'm writing this review. I was sleeping and was woken up by my smoke alarm. I ran into the kitchen to find my kitchen filled with smoke. My stove was on and my mat burning. I thought, surely I wasn't that careless to place the mat on the stove while it was on. I had cooked the night before. Finished cooking and turned the stove off around 8:55pm. Cleaned my kitchen and covered the stove at 10:15pm. My stove was completely cooled by then.I decided to review my Ring camera placed in my kitchen. (Long story) Anyways, I found I wasn't careless at all. My stove came on, somehow by itself. (The times above are from me reviewing history) I read a couple of reviews. The same thing happened to others. One lady blamed it on her cats. I'm sure they were trying to tell her they didn't do it. But she needed a reason. Another blamed their kids bumping into it. Some of the others should have known better than to use the mat while cooking. Anyways, if I didn't have my camera, I would have blamed myself. You can see in the video, no one turned the stove top on. The back of the stove lights up when it's on. There were no lights for hours.I let my stove cool off. Or I thought that's what I was doing. After about an hour and half, my burner was still red, showing no signs of cooling off. I ended up shutting it off from the breaker switch.Please be careful when using this mat. I know I want to protect my stove. But I also want to protect my home. I'm so glad I was home.

I've had an electric range for about a year now, and we've been 'getting to know each other.' I miss my gas range . . . but I don't. It's a toss up, and a personal preference - a weighing of the pros and cons. This silicone protective mat definitely helps me "like" the glass/ceramic stove top more. I have a very small kitchen, so it makes the stovetop an extension of the counter. That's a big bonus - extra square footage. It also minimizes the schmutz of daily kitchen use - a simple rinse of the silicone mat and it's clean except for occasional food or grease, and that's taken care of with a little soap and water. Great - no time-consuming cleaning of the ceramic/glass stovetop, which in my case is black and glossy and shows every $&*#)@ thing. Anything coming out of the oven, and it goes right on the mat with it's two level surface no worries. We use the stovetop itself daily, and the mat is just rolled/folded to one side or the other, and placed back when the stovetop has cooled off. If there was any small mess left behind, it's covered by the mat until I decide to get to it. Any major use of the stove top, and the mat is moved to the adjacent counter and doubles as a trivet for hot pots/dishes. Overall happy with the construction of the mat itself - sturdy and thick enough to handle hot pots and dishes. And very happy with the quick cleaning of the mat vs the persnickety shiny black stovetop that needs time consuming cleaning to look good. Definitely adds utility to the stovetop as counter space, and saves on time consuming stovetop cleaning by covering smudges and splatters until I can put in the time to making the stovetop sparkle. I'm loving the mat, the cleaning time it's saving and the added function of handling hot pots and dishes. So glad I purchased it.**DO NOT PUT IN THE DISHWASHER!** You will get a splotchy cloudy surface left by the detergent, maybe helped along by the heat (even though I do not use the heat functions, the wash water is very hot). I don't have hard water - it's very soft water. It's been a bear trying to clean off the cloudy residue (boiling water, scrubbing). I'm not sure it'll ever be as black as it was before. This isn't a manufacturing problem. It's how this product's silicone surface reacts with extended exposure to the soap and hot water.So just avoid the headache - !*Hand Wash Only*!

Looks great, protects the glass top well, and fits perfectly. Like it was made for or stove. It comes folded, so it has wrinkles at first, but they go away after a day or two. Keeps the glass clean too! I recommend it!!

I purchased this mat specifically to cover my glass stove and have more "counter space " in my kitchen. And it's great. It's soft silicon, so it's very easy to roll or fold it to put away. I got it black like the top of my stove, so it's almost invisible:). It has some grids on it so when I dry my dishes there sometimes, the water doesn't spill. It doesn't smell, it's easy to clean and easy to store. And it's not that expensive too. I find it very useful for my kitchen. Recommend.
