When this blanket arrived I thought I'd scored the most amazing deal. It's huge, incredibly soft and really substantial. It did, however, have a slight unpleasant odour, like petrol or tar, so I decided to wash it before use. (Note that it is hand wash only but I put it in my machine on the hand wash cycle). WELL, oh my goodness, the smell while wet was overpowering! I hung it on the line and it was like I was standing next to a truck on the road resealing the asphalt! I could smell it a mile off. So I rewashed in washing soda then a another wash in vinegar. The smell was then significantly improved while wet but sadly is still there when dry. I will keep trying but I am pretty scared what this smell actually is as I know bamboo itself does not smell this way. I can only imagine it is some finishing agent due to this being made in China. I definitely won't be sleeping under this anytime soon.

I don't know what I did before I found Bamboo bedding!!!! It really is the most luxurious bedding EVER!!!! And I am very fussy when it comes to bedding.This blanket is like layer upon layer of silk and it is so warm. Utterly beautiful. Even nicer than any 5 star hotel bedding.

I like it smooth and soft but heavy enough for comfort. It's not that warm so it's good for less cold weather

Looks lovely and is soft, but not as warm as I had hoped, but then I do feel the cold!
