Didn't expect much but was quite impressed. I've ordered leather travel bags in the past and have learned the hard way the photos don't always jibe with reality. The bag is a bit smaller than a regulation check-in, so consider this is a great personal bag for weekends, etc. If you want to pack it as a carry-on, you may want a slightly larger bag. Not small by any measure, just not maxed out. In any event, the leather is full thickness and feels like a saddle. Stitching appears straight and true with very strong gusseting and handles sewn into straps that run down the entire height of the bag for what should be very strong weight bearing ability. The looks of the leather bears little resemblance to the photos which, in my opinion appear a bit bizarre. There are no crazy lines and patches of color, thank God. The leather simply looks distressed, varying between brown and tan with a dull, dusty oiled leather look. I tried scratching with my fingernail over the attached luggage tag creating a light tan line in the leather. Rubbing it with my finger it was almost gone. Love the ability of the bag to do hard work for years and look great distressed. I'm sending 2 of the bags back to Amazon but will definitely keep this one and a larger carry on. The "fine Italian" bag I was interesting in comparing to this one? Not so fine. The quality of this bag is top notch and it will look great with jeans or khakis. A black suit? Maybe not, if you care about that sort of thing. I've now been through 6 bags and while not the biggest bag I own, it is among the best I've seen for quality and looks. Seems to me this bag will be the last I'll need to buy.

This bag is absolutely exquisite! I got it last night for my trip today up to the Bay Area and I couldn’t be happier with the quality. In fact, I went back on Amazon to check the price because I thought I had made a mistake and bought a $400 bag instead. This bag is made with high-quality material handsomely dyed and will last a lifetime.I normally only go for the high-end Italian made bags, but this one can stand Toto to with any of them. I highly recommend!

Love it...it's is fairly thick leather and therefore is a little stiff ... But we are talking top leather when this happens.I have done what another reviewer did and packed with pillows and rolled up towels the fill it out so it will reshape to the way it should be....it's on my balcony right now in the Florida heat. The color is the same as the ad photo's.The price is really good for this quality leather...i also bought some conditioner that keeps the leather soft and it comes with it's own cotton protective bag for when it is being stored. In the ad photo's the handle look like a ran color....nut it's just the lighting...the handle's are the same leather as the bag.

The craftsmanship is amazing the quality is top notch the leather is incredible thick but soft. . This bag is heavy for a duffel . The handles are ample they will never break from normal use . Also the hard wear the buttons and hooks for shoulder strap are top quality. This bag is totally high end I feel blessed to own it . Also the problem I always ran into with other duffel s was the strap would be to short. That IS NoT the case here I’m 5’6 215 with Big shoulders and it’s more then enough for me . Actually you could be 6’2 and built huge and this strap will be enough for you to wear this bag cross chest with room to spare. Thank you rustic town I can pass this bag down this bag is of such great quality it’s now a family heirloom .

I really like this bag it has this rough, simple, and unsophisticated look to it. Yet it is very stylish and high-class, it is the perfect carry-on size for any airline. You would be surprised how much you can carry inside this bag. The only down side to this bag is that the color bleeds in very humid weather conditions. Do not wear a white t-shirt, wrap this bag around your shoulders and go to some place with 80% humidity. You’ll end up with a camouflage white and brown t-shirt and stained jeans. Other than that it is a good looking bag.
