The instructions were faded, It works as it should no splits
Hello friends, I selected this edible natural sausage casing for making sausage. The label on my casings was faded for some reason . It might be cheap ink or something. I soaked them in some salt for a hot minute and after pulling them out figured they were okay to use. The casings were easy to fill and I didn't have one hole or split during the entire process. I've had casing split on me and it's just so annoying. Actually they were packaged. I put them in the freezer.

Short casing.
The fact that it stated it would make 32 ft of sausage per packet. Far short of that amount.Would not hold even 20 lbs per packet.

Pass these up and try another seller
These casings smelled like garbage. Also did not stuff nearly as much sausage as claimed. The packaging looked like it was recovered from a ship wreck. There are other options on Amazon that are much better.

Stear clear
I've made kielbasa for 50+ years and this casing was 2nd worst ever. The worst smelled worse but both had a rancid, nauseating odor. I would have thrown it away but I had no choice, on deadline for the holiday. In the end, after I rinsed it, it seemed okay and it was sturdy, didn’t break, which is always a nightmare. Bottom line don't order this, just too much risk in terms of quality.

Worked great
These worked great. I’ve never made sausage before, and I wanted to get these to fill with a vegetation mix, which, I know seems odd in a natural casing, but that’s what I wanted to try. It worked out surprisingly well. I did have some challenges figuring out the right method to fill without breaking or leaving a ton of air, but once I got the swing of things it was better. The label is ridiculously unhelpful, as other reviewers mentioned, but once I found instructions online I had no problem even as a beginner.

No big holes, well packed, terrible label
My prior experiences with sausage casings were problematic.Other brands of casings were packed in a LOT of salt, and often smelled quite bad. I'd have to do multiple washings to try to remove the excess salt and smell. That process would sometimes leave holes if I accidentally allowed too much water pressure. These were quite different, vacuum packed, and relatively clean! I know I still need to wash them, if only to get them slick enough to slide onto the outlet for my sausage press, but it's still nicer than the salted ones.Other reviews that mention the poor labelling are correct, you can see how worn the label is in my photo, pretty awful! So I knocked off a star for that serious flaw.

works great for me
DISCLAIMER: This review is solely based on my personal experience/usage of the product. Yours might be different.I've been itching to make my own sausage and when I saw this product, I decided to give it a try. It works great and is easy to use. I make seitan meat and tried to use the casing to make seitan sausage, so far, it works wonders. Doesn't leave a weird taste and I highly recommend it.
