Q: Can this be used to burn coal

Not really! You need an airflow up from underneath to successfully burn coal and there is no way of getting that with this - its just a bowl. Also I suspect that the metal would withstand the high heat of coal for a while but would not last long if you did it regularly. That said its a great woodburner and I have really enjoyed using with that fuel.

Q: Hello is this made of cast iron?

Definitely not, mine has just arrived and the item itself weighs 3kg. The bowl is also incredibly flexible and doesn’t seem hard wearing at all. Debating about whether to send it back as it is definitely not as described.

Yep I have used logs, charcoal all sorts.

There were no holes in mine. I considered making some, but top tip is to store it flipped upside down on the stand so rain does not accumulate in it. Works fine for me. It's cheap and cheerful but I'm pleased with mine :)
