TePe Dental Floss, Waxed Mint-Flavored PFAS-Free Tooth Floss, 40 Meters

This dental floss is excellent and safe to use. I no longer use Oral-B Glide floss because it contains PFAS, a dangerous chemical found in many consumer products ranging from nonstick cookware to waterproof clothing to food packaging, and used in firefighting foams at airports and military bases. These chemicals have been linked to liver damage, harm to the immune system, developmental issues, and cancer, and can persist in people’s bodies and in the environment for many years.

This is the best dental floss I have tried. It is strong, easy to grip, does not fray easily and has enough texture to actually clean the teeth.

I’ve been using Burst floss, but this slides more easily. I have pretty big gaps in my teeth so I need a thicker floss. It does shred a bit, and I’d like it to be a little more waxed, but overall it’s been good and I’d repurchase

They changed this floss from fiber expanding to waxed non-expanding. The coverage of the floss is completely different now and doesn't pick up plaque in the same manner. Why did they not sell 2 products instead?Previous quality was much higher. Now its just waxed floss.

If you expect a dental tape like the much missed Glide Tape, you won't get it here. This is a decent product but not really a tape, as labelled. It's really just another floss.

Not impressed. I like regular dental tape (thicker than normal floss) and I like the waxed, multi-strand "normal" dental tape, and I really like mint flavored floss. I haven't found one that has all three so I normally buy the "Reach" brand waxed dental tape (wishing it was mint flavored). This one caught my eye because it seemed to be everything I wanted but it is not so. This is not woven. It is the teflon ribbon type and the ingredients list says PTFE (which is teflon), beeswax and mint scent. I don't know why they bother with wax except that it perpetuates the myth that it is a woven construction, and the mint scent is barely detectable in the container and not detectable on a piece of the floss. I'm very disappointed and glad that I didn't buy a bunch. It does go between the teeth easier than real dental tape (because it is a thin ribbon of slippery teflon) but of course it doesn't clean out food particles as well so what's the point?

I have incredibly crowded teeth and therefore tend to be fussy about my floss. This product is sturdy and strong, but is a bit thick for dental tape. Any thicker and I wouldn't be able to use it comfortably. If your teeth aren't crazy crowded like mine this should be fine. It is priced well too!
