This skincare set comes with an Argan & Carrot oil Tone boosting Body milk, Dark spot corrector Serum and a huge Exfoliating bar of soap. I’ve been using these products for only 5 days(day and night) so far. I’ve noticed that my skin looks a little brighter(very slight fade in freckles) and more moisturized. It will take longer to get rid of dark spots though. I’ve taken a before photo and I’ll take an after photo after a few weeks. I’ll post them together when it’s time. In the meanwhile, I’ll briefly go over each product.-Argan & Carrot oil Tone Boosting Body MilkThis body lotion should only be used on your body and is recommended 3 times a week. However, I’ve used it more often than that with no problems.This lotion is a medium/thick substance with a nice and herbal fragrance(?). It absorbs really well and doesn’t leave white or an oily residue on your skin. It is a decent body lotion for moisturizing!- Dark spot Corrector Argan & Carrot serumYou are not suppose to apply this serum all over your face or body. You should only put it in places that need it. It recommended that you use this serum 3 times a week. You can also mix this serum with other lotions or serums for a brightening boost.This a medium/lightweight substance with an herbal fragrance as well. It absorbs quickly and has a soothing after-feel.-Argan & Carrot oil Exfoliating soapYou can use this soap for your body and face. It foams up really well and it has a nice citrus fragrance.I noticed my skin feels softer and smoother after using this soap twice a day for 5 days.Overall, this brightening skincare may have promising results. I will give an update with photos soon!

This is a luxurious gift set with high quality ingredients.The soap deeply exfoliates my skin, and leaves it clean, fresh and smooth.The body milk has a thick texture and it is very hydrating.The serum is rich, goes smoothly and is non greasy.They all smell heavenly.Usage:Serum: apply it with cotton swab only in the pigmented area 3x per week before bedtime.Body lotion: apply it only in the part of the body you want to lighten 3x per week.Soap: face or body 3x per week.I just started using this set, so I will update my review in a month or so, to brighten the skin takes time.

Extremely confusing product labeling and instructions. Not sure if they’ve recently updated their packaging but it took a lot of research to figure out how do use this set and I don’t even feel like it’s a complete set based on the instructions. I feel different products should be bundled together.In this set you get the exfoliating soap which comes in a decorative tin. This is the most straightforward product. Smells great like a soapy carrot. Doesn’t sound good but it does smell good.Next you get the body milk, which I think is also called toning milk listed elsewhere. Directions on usage state you must first apply botanical oil to freshly cleansed body. The set does not include the botanical oil. I used a body oil I have not by Makari.This body milk is extremely fragranced. It smells like floral perfume. It’s a very heavy cream and the only similarity to milk is that it’s white.Lastly you get the serum which I think in the past was called dark spot corrector and it’s a body treatment (maybe). You can dab this serum on dark spots or mix a few pumps in with body milk, lotions, cream, gels or other serums.This is a very expensive set. But you do get a lot of product and based on the directions of how to use it, it should last a long time like maybe years. Long expiration dates, serum 2024 and body milk 2026.Overall I like the exfoliating soap but I’m not crazy about how the serum and body milk smell.Ok after more research and actually using the products 2 times a week for over a month, I can start to see some evening of skin tones. It’s helping to fade my summer tan and smooth out my skin.So I guess this brand has several lines. All are similar in that they clear, fade spots or lighten skin tones; some product even claim to whiten skin. Not sure how I feel about that, but I’m all for evening out the skin you were born with, correcting discoloration, scars and making it smoother to the touch.You have to use this on a regular basis, decreasing usage to maintain skin tone.

Makari product may be good, but their customer service always sucks. I did not receive any self care kit. I don't need it anyways, I just wanted to voice my dis-satisfaction with Makari. I used to order from their website and they always will send me incomplete items, I would then start to go back and forth with emails and phone calls which never gets answered. I resorted to ordering thru Amazon because of their much better customer service and refund policy, still I got incomplete items.

At a skin tightening price of $163, Makari hasn’t listed the ingredients here at the time of this review. We constructively urge they do so right away. After all, we deserve to know exactly what’s going on our beautiful faces through the actual ingredients list, not just clever marketing claims. It shouldn’t take detective work to the company website to learn what’s in each of these nicely packaged products. Oddly, the website only furthers the mystery, merely calling these product “natural” with a few common key ingredients listed. That’s highly unusual and inspires zero confidence in this brand from those of us who need see the full product ingredients hierarchy before considering whether to order. Upon receiving the items, the ingredients were a mix of lab-oriented with some natural ingredients, except for the serum which is primarily lab-based. Fortunately, this set is covered by Amazon’s 30 day free returns if not for you.
