Nanogen Keratin Thickening Hair Fibres, 15 g, Dark Brown

I`ve been purchasing Nanogen dark brown hair fibres since October 23. Lets get the negatives out of the way first: not the cheapest on the market and they can be messy.Now the positives: they give thicker looking hair and are very effective at hiding thin areas on the scalp.I have tried other brands but overall I find Nanogen the best- mainly because I think they adhere better. They work by static electricity and cling to the hair although some will fall on the scalp too- I think the static strip (which no other brand has) helps better adhesion.Here are my tips:1) Make sure your hair is totally dry before application otherwise the fibres will clump together.2) Less is more ! You don`t need loads on the hair. Sprinkle on thin areas (typically the crown) and then lightly pat the hair to settle the fibres. Repeat this until you are happy with the coverage- but don`t overload the hair- they will fall off if too many are used.3) Use the "salt shaker" provided to cover larger areas. For smaller areas use a spray applicator: here there is a problem because Nanogen don`t make one ! I bought a small 7g Gofyber sample bottle and a Toppik applicator for this and simply carefully pour some of the Nanogen fibres in to this. The spray applicator is ideal for partings and hairlines. Make sure you buy a hairline optimizer to cover the forehead when using the applicator on the hairline to keep things neat. I find a makeup brush is ideal to tidy up the hairline as well.Overall, a great product if applied correctly. LESS IS MORE ! Remember that the fibres need hair to cling to though- they will look very unnatural on completely large bald areas. A 30g bottle lasts me about 5 weeks.

I've been using this product for quite some time, and I've found it to be highly effective. It's simple to use (the fibres are sprinkled onto your head, in much the same way as you talcum powder), and - once you've got the hang of it - takes less than 5 minutes to apply. Once on, the fibres will stay in place for the rest of the day. I do suggest that, should it be a breezy day, you also use a little hair spray - to help hold the fibres in place.This really does create the appearance of having thicker hair. In fact, this can completely conceal very thinning hair. It won't work if you're completely bald, as it requires you having some hair for the fibres to cling to. These fibres don't 'sit' on your scalp - rather, they rest on your existing hair and make it look like you've got a much thicker head of hair.I have "ginger" hair - and I use the auburn fibres. They're a perfect colour match. If you're not happy about having thinning hair, and you prefer the appearance of having a thicker head-full of hair, then I recommend you try this product.The larger 30g item is adequate for a month - although if your hair is very thin, you'll likely need to use twice as much to create the appearance you're after. The negatives are: (1) these fibres are not water proof, so it rains then you'll need to quickly put a hat on; (2) the fibres almost completely fall off while you're in bed - so they'll need to be applied every day, first thing. And you'll need to clean your pillow case more regularly; (3) in one respect, these fibres are TOO good. Once applied, you'll forget about your thinning hair. The results are great. But when you step out of the shower, you'll find yourself reminded of how thin your hair is! As such, you can easily come to rely on these - and that's not a good thing.Overall, an impressive product.Note: to successfully apply these fibres, you'll need two mirrors - one to look into, and another to see the back of your head.

I bought these when I had some hair left (prior to shaving head). They were absolutely miraculous. You do need somebody to do it for you or have a good hand in the mirror. And you do need to use some hairspray afterwards. Resist the temptation to touch your hair afterwards. It lasts for about 12 hours. You can’t sleep on it. It is pretty miraculous.

Best fibres out there, have used many brands i found this to be the best and the most natural looking.

by farrrr the worst hair powder i have ever used. actually think i should be given a refund for misrepresentation of a product. its heavy more like a powder, the holes the powder comes from are a lot wider than other brands. i have no idea what they are talking about in terms on ‘nano gen’ technology. absolutely does not stick to your hair. sticks to your skin tho, lovely.. terrible terrible product. not to mention the only 2 options for delivery 1 option £4.49 for like 4 day or £4.99 for nxt day.. absolutely robbery. never ever write a review but i am that disappointed on this. straight back to thick fibre for me, best out there in my opinion. thought i’d try something new, my mistake. an expensive one. wouldn’t give it 1 star had no choice.

It's OK-ish, but not amazing.

Im not bald and actually have quite a bit of hair at almost 40 but down the middle it is thinner than it used to be. I used to use other but have only used this one for a while now.I wont name others as they have come in handy but one used to always fly out despite that being the way it was meant to so a bigger tub of that lasted less time that this and the other brand was really messy.With this, once my hair is dry I can put on and style it is brilliant and looks really thick down the middle bit.I only gave 3 for style because the rain does affect it so have to use hair spray and stuck with same hair all day and I would have given a 4 as the weather isn't their fault but their suppposed superior hair spray to go with it that they try to sell alongside it is no different from normal hair spray from the shops for a fraction of the price and they do the exact same job.This product is great though so instead of buying another brand and their alleged super hair spray go for this brand of fibres and normal hair spray for the bad weather days !This product itself thoug
