We have just had this akai dvd with tv tuner but are having problems trying to set up the tv please can you help me

So did I as the supplied aerial could not get a signal in the room I wanted so I set up the akai on a main aerial in a different room to load the stations. I then put a decent aerial in the room where the tv was to be.You do have to go by the instruction book when first tuning , it can be a fussy sod to do but I'm sure you will get there in the end.If you find you don't like the sound from it (it can seem a bit tinny) then I bought a cheap amplified set of computer speakers and lead that did it for me It works perfectly now. Try CPC Farnell RS components or Maplin.Good luck!

How long does the battery last? Does it come with a guarantee? Can you listen clearly without headphones?

The battery lasts approx 2.5hrs when using a DVD, but if using a USB stick or card to watch a movie, we gave got almost 3.5 hrs (that was also using head phones). my son uses it on long car journeys without head phones and the sound is ok. If there is any background noise it is necessary to use good quality headphones . Overall my son is very happy with this DVD player and this is his third player.

Will thid dvd player pick up digital freeview tv

Yes it is a Freeview TV as well as a DVD player - Full Tech support for purch from us - Digitel Technology Ltd 0845-1808007 (price includes mag mount antenna, but a separate TV aerial may be required depending on TV signal reception where you are)

Can you connect a portable speaker in the headphone jack with this?

Yes it sounds better with a portable speaker. I use a powered speaker for more volume and bass.
