Fear not, this is a great buy
Aloha,Let me start by stating that I almost never write a review for anything. I think that this might be the 4th, or 5th review that I have ever written. This item deserves a few words. I assumed that this kit was nothing more than a cheaply made bunch of junk that would most likely break upon the first use, but worth the cost if I could just get the job that I needed it for done. Well...what can I say, other than I guess that I'll never learn to stop assuming the worst about things that I've never seen. This kit is very well made, and I suspect that it will be working well for many many years. The assortment of tools that are included in this kit should make the changing of pressed in front wheel bearings a breeze on any vehicle. The description of the product and what's included really do not do it justice. The description, and the pictures of the kit in the ad had me very concerned that the tools that I needed were not included in this kit, and to me, it looked like a toy. Well... in this case a picture is not worth a thousand words.I'd say that the vehicle that I was needing the tool for probably has one of the larger pressed bearings that are used on today's vehicles, and the tools that are included in this kit handled the job with ease. One of the reasons that I decided on this kit was the ability for use of an impact gun, which some other kits in this price range say you can not use.How well does it work ? Well... I spent less than an hour changing the front wheel bearing on a 2000 Nissan Quest. There was no need for removing the bearing/steering knuckle from the vehicle, which saved the need of a front end alignment after the job was done. Yes, I changed the bearing right on the vehicle. What did I save?Well, lets see, the machine shop quoted 100 bucks just for removing and installing the bearing, there was no need of a front end alignment which saved another 100 bucks, and, there was no time, or fuel used taking the part to the machine shop, or the need for returning to the shop to pick up the finished part the next day. Also, there was no need for spending an additional hour or so removing and reinstalling the bearing/ knuckle.,Bottom line... If you need a good quality bearing replacement kit for not a lot of money, I highly recommend this kit. But watch it, there are many kits that look like this kit for about the same cost, but those kits may not be this same quality. Then again, some kits could be better quality, but I doubt that a kit could be better in quality at this price level.Just make sure that the description says that an impact gun can be used, and if so, the kit should be OK.Aloha.

Absolutely perfect.
I rarely leave a review, but this deserves one. I bought this to replace the wheel bearings on my Polaris Sportsman. All of the pieces are extremely solid, perfectly machined and heavy. Made very quick work of installing new bearings.

Fine for a DIYer but definitely not for a pro
First of all this did do the job I intended it to do on a 325 BMWxi and its two rear wheel bearings. The drifts, cups and cup plates are a bit soft but adequate. The two washers and bolt were simply too soft and the bolt itself I doubt will hold up over time as the underside was pretty chewed up and rounded over. No amount of grease is going to offest the stress you put on this tool removing bearings 15 years in their home. The coupling nut seemed to hold up well. The bolt is a 28mm head and the coupling nut is a 32mm. As for the bolt I have no idea what the thread size is if you wanted to replace it. So what I did was ordered a grade 8 3/4-10 7" and 6" bolts as well as two washers and a coupling nut. The supplied bolt is fully threaded which is the reason why I ordered a 6" and 7" to account for those times when more than the standard 2" thread length on large bolts is needed. In summary I do feel this was worth the investment despite its shortcomings. My personal time is valuable and spending extra time removeing the knuckles and running them to a shop for their typical $100 press fee more than justifies this purchase.

Great tool for the price. Wish I would have had this years ago. Actually works as it should, made wheel bearings easy to remove and install on the car. Highly recommend.

Oh my gosh are you kidding me!
I liked how many options were available for use. It was easy to assemble. The screw head is 30mm socket. I had to go out and buy one. The bad part is the bad craftsmanship of the screw. It somehow stripped on itself. The shaft went on the backside of the plate easily. Then during cranking it down to remove the bearing, turning became difficult. I backed off and then continued. Again, more difficult. I had to use a large pipe to get force to get the bearing out. When I finally got the bearing removed, it took another 10 minutes to get the screw out of the shaft because the threads were worn. Only one side half completed and this product is now useless. You are supporting to be able to use this product to press the bearing and hub back in. Not now. One and done product. Now my car is down and I have to go buy one locally to get the job done for both sides. I do NOT recommend this productUpdate: I went to HD and bought a similar sized bolt and the matching nut. Came home and got the job done and the boot from HD did not strip out.
