The Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Cards Cards – 1 Sept. 2007

This is a beautiful set and unlike many other oracle card sets, it has 52 cards. In some ways it’s 3 decks in one as you have the animal guides, human guides and journeys markers. There are also a few faery cards.The images are nice and inspiring with Celtic borders and the book has enough information to convey the message of each card. I do wish the cards still had the gold gilded edge like the first edition but the first edition had all the journey marker cards being the same, whereas this edition, they are different and better. But shame the gold gilding went, I would’ve liked that. I love the Avalon theme. I’m still drawn to the other Avalon set that’s available more. I just connect more to it but this is very close and very different, so both good in their own right.

Nice. Went straight into regular use alongside my Tarot readings

I have and use several Doreen Virtue Angel cards. I also have some decks of Tarot cards & couple of Fairy ones,i found them by chance after reading the reviews on Amazon. I decided to try them. I found them realy Easy to read and have lovely otherworldly artwork . They have a strong positive feel.I love anything to do with King Arthur & Avalon/grail, I too liked the lady of the lake card- My two siamese kitty's liked them too. They used to me using crystals & cards they walk away if they dont like them - other times they curl up round them. I used them straight away after dedicating them and did myself a reading it was very accurate; I asked a simple but deep and important question. .I received accurate thoughtful, insightful view on the situation.The one thing i didn't like and it's a small thing, was the huge spider animal guide card. I use it plain side up -all the time. I know they represent creativity which is a wonderful thing... I just can't touch it.Other than that I'm very pleased with them, I have the ones with the DIFFERENT waymarker cards the art work is realy good, I enjoy using them. I don't have any other cards by Colette Baron-Reid but if they are all this good I may be tempted.

When I purchased this card deck last year I had no idea what to expect. Now a year and a lot of readings later this deck has a steady place in the top 5 of preferred decks. At first I had to connect with the animal cards (the animal guides of Avalon). The guidebook helped me with that a lot. The messages are positive and I love to connect with the animals as they are true guides. They appear in all my readings.The messengers (merlin, lady of the lake, the queen etc. etc.) are strong influences in your life and they advice you to look into what is happend in your life and how to enhance your qualities. Very practical advise.The guidance of faery are deeply connected to your inner being. I love them. The drawings are so beautiful and I enjoy to open up for them.The sacred journey markers are strong cards. They help you to ask the questions which are nessecary in order to grow spiritually and guide to towards answers without fear. I love my insights with these cards.I love Colette Baron-Reid for that she has managed to deliver a wonderful card set with delightful artwork by Gary A. Lippincott. The print and colour of the cards is very nice and the quality is very good. It is not a deck for first timers but when you embrased the cards and learned how to use them than you won't get tired using them frequently. If you love cards this is the deck to love to have.

I think these are amazing cards especially for those who hold an interest in the legends. The art is fantastic and you can find yourself getting lost in the cards art work. The readings I have produced have been inciteful and inspiring for myself and others. These are a steal I definitely recommend adding a set to your collection.

Like everyone else has already mentioned, the cards were all stuck together and and pulling them apart was difficult, the edges are quite poor as a result and the card stock quality is very flimsy.All that aside, I do like this deck and already feel a connection with them.

Im a great fan of Colette, but these cards are amazing. Very accurate and would be great to anyone setting out on their path, as well as those that are used to using varios oracle cards. They are easy to read and have great artwork with them as well.
