Cutting plates are consumables when die cutting so when I found these glitter plates for £5 less than clear plastic ones I snapped them up. I saw some mint green ones even cheaper so went for a set of each. The green will be bottom plates and these glitter ones the top plates so no more accidentally using my uncut plates. Not the cheapest on the market but I know the quality of Sizzix items is excellent and at this price I’m happy with my purchase.I sue this standard size in my big shot when I’m not filling up the extended plate. I use as the top plate and the extended on the bottom.

Great plate nice and sparkly

Works the same as the original clear cutting plates. The only thing I'm not keen on, the glitter can sometimes obscure the thin or small die placement once you put these on top, so sometimes it's difficult to see if the die has moved as my eyesight isn't 100%, now I use these as my non cut plates as my other clear plates hadn't totally died on me. I think I will stick to clear plates in future instead of thinking "yay, pretty glitter" haha.

Great for the big shot and easy to see as they are sparkly. I keep one to use for the top plate and the other as a spare.

I have had a Big Shot Plus since Christmas and ordered the smaller cutting plates to speed up the process for myself. Chose the glitter plates because any self respecting crafter likes a bit of extra bling, easy to locate on a messy desk and I find it mitgates the effects of cuts on the surface of the clear plates. They do warp over time but I use mine a lot and turn them a lot to reduce the effects leaving one plate without cuts to stop embossing my cardstock with previous cut marks. This product will get damaged it is designed for that and it will not last forever but if you turn them often you will get more wear out of them.

Good quality plates,and easier to find if you mislay under your stash of card..unlike the original clear plates 😄
