This is my 3rd appliance by Andrew James, I was worried that the quality would have gone down after the original owners sold up, however, the product and quality are still just as good! I have used this several times now, I think the flexible beater alone has been worth it. There was no need to stop and scrape down the sides of the bowl as you do with other (often more expensive) makes. My caramel cake, Victoria sponge and the buttercream that go with them all turned out perfect. I have used the dough hook for pasta and the balloon whisk for meringues and batters, absolutely no complaints on any of them. There is a knack to getting the best from the splatter guard, however! I found that you have to fit it to the top mechanism and then BEFORE you start mixing, lower the tool in to the bowl and then jiggle the guard down until it sits neatly on the bowl, use a tea towel to cover the hole where you can add extra ingredients, and almost nothing escapes. It sounds like a faff but it only takes a few seconds. The only improvement I would make is to put a lift up cover on the hole in the guard. Everything else is brilliant. Time will tell how long it will last, but so far so good!

The media could not be loaded. This is my first stand mixer I’ve bought. Would have liked a Kitchen Aid one but couldn’t really justify spending that much money on one. So after a lot of searching and comparing decided on this one. Have used it a few times and I’m very happy with it. The paddle / whisk reaches the bottom of the bowl, it’s easy to use I leave the splash guard on all the time rather than taking it off and putting it back. As the body of the mixer is plastic it is light enough to pick up and store in a cupboard If you haven’t got the worktop space. The suction cups keep it in place while using it. The only drawback is it sounds like a small aircraft taking off. It has a high-pitched piercing noise when you turn it up. I know all stand mixers are noisy but this is very very loud!

I'm glad I get to read all the reviews now. I bought my cake mixer years ago, used it only thrice and the head is ripped and stuck in open position too. All the while, I thought it was an isolated incident with my machine, but alas, it's a design flaw. Pretty machine, but it didn't last at all!

Had problems with delivery Amazon ..Nothing to do with the company from where it came from ..within an hour it was mixing up pastry ...and ...Over the moon with the mixer expected it to be noisy but certainly wasn't compared to some.. Thankyou ...I ordered black to go with my Equipment...the price was very good worth every penny .

This was bought to replace my state of the art Kenwood which "died". As I no longer cook/bake so frequently I could not warrant spending several hundred pounds on a replacement so tried this mixer. Obviously one cannot expect state of the art precision at this price , but it is very acceptable: not too noisy, attachments work well and are easy to clean. The bowl is a little on the small side for my bread-making (3 loaves at a time) so have to knead in two batches but perfect for cakes and pastry. It sits VERY firmly on the work-surface - the rubber feet grip like limpets so be aware when moving it - cannot just push it along: a good fault as it does not bounce around when in use. Very efficient delivery - would recommend this company.

I absoloutely love this stand mixer. So far I have used it to make bread, brownies, scones and flapjacks, and they have all turned out amazing! It is so easy to set up and use and very quick to clean too. It has become a must have product in my kitchen and i'm excited to see what else I can use it to make. Highly recommend.
