Good value for money
I was undecided with which trap to buy - In the end I choose this one as it appeared more versatile than others. My main reason for it's purchase was to diminish my squirrel population which I have lived with for thirty years or more. They multiply very quickly, and I started having problems with them breeding in the loft and causing damage. I also noticed the decline/absence of young baby birds in the garden. They dig quite deep pot holes in the lawn, in which I recently injured my foot badly. I have started keeping poultry and found they were taking the food and messing in the chicken run - I felt enough was enough. The trap arrived very quickly and was easy to set-up. The mechanism to spring the trap is very positive and fool-proof. I set up the trap the first night, baiting it with some parrot food, hoping to catch the early morning squirrel scavengers. unfortunately, it caught a hedgehog, but glad to say it was unharmed and didn't appear to be traumatized happily trundleling off when I opened the cage door. I reset the trap and kept watch, within minutes three squirrels arrived - one was very curious and started to eat the food trail into the cage and the trap successfully sprung. In conclussion the trap works very well, is sturdily made, and should last many years so I can highly recommend it.

Very sturdy - very efficient trap - but be careful it's powerful
Very sturdy - very efficient trap - but be careful it's powerful, as the trap snaps back really powerfully. We were trying to trap and neuter (then release) feral kittens, and we had to use it without the automatic snap back, or it could have seriously injured them when closing automatically (very fast and powerful snapping door). But the cage is a strong, heavy piece of equipment compared to others we have seen. We will use it again, but with caution.

Good quality item
I read that other buyers had struggled to operate this with no intstructions. These are “special” people. It’s all obvious but more importantly it’s of a good size.

Do not buy if there are foxes in the area!
This looked like a good trap but the instructions are dreadful and it is useless if there are foxes in the area as it is not fox-proof. Mine was totally mangled overnight after a fox got trapped and went absolutely wild.I will be requesting a refund.

It Worked!
It worked. Caught a notoriously troublesome neighborhood stray cat. Who's highlight of each day, in fact evening and night was entering the garden unprovoked and attacking my mothers cat. Who, despite his domestication and thus reduced testosterone gave quite a good account of himself. But alas, it did not stop the constant onslaughts, leaving him with bites and chunks of fur missing. So baited the trap with some wet food, and crunches - not the brand name, just what I call them. Five days in, caught this filthy stray and relocated him many miles away.

If only it was already assembled....
I bought this trap and another more expensive ready assembled one. I much preferred the ready assembled one. The instructions for this one are a bit unclear and although I worked it out in the end I prefer to pay extra for a ready assembled one. One of two clips was also missing but this did not make the item unusable but reinforced my opinion that I preferred the other one.

It does what it says on the tin!
Easy to assemble and worked a treat. Was reluctant to fork out nearly £50 if it didn’t work but it did exactly what it claims to do and only took 1 night. Intruder was unharmed and released a far distance from our house.

The instructions to assmble were quite poor
It seems a sturdy and robust product but the assembly instructions were quite poor. There are two versions - a 31 inch trap and a 26 inch trap. I bought a 31 inch trap but the single page instruction leaflet shuws a drawing of a 26 inch trap which has two main differences -1 - The strengthening arrangements are significantly different for each model2 - The triggering mechanism whilst similar appears different between the two modelsI eventually figured it out by visual observation and deduction and the trap is now in place , but the rabbits are being quite smart and I doubt if I will catch any of them. Now putting wire netting wire round my garden fence,Overall a good product and given that it was quite expensive, I am disappointed that the assembly instructions were poor.
