What is the propellant?

As it says on the can, no propellants. You pump it. Works quite well.

This only sprays for a few uses, then it comes out in a stream. Any tips to keep it misting?

I followed one of the answers which was take the top off running under hot water and put the lid back on and I happened to have it upside down almost fully upside down when I put the cap on and it sprayed all over my sink making a mess but it did spray instead of make a stream so I tried it again standing up and it was a stream so it's all about how you tilt the canister if you're going to get a stream or a very nice spray if you hold it up you're gonna get more of a stream if you hold it more down more upside down like then you're gonna get a spray don't ask that's just what happens

can i open the bottle and put the oil in a glass container?

No. The bottle is aluminum and uses an air pressure system to propel the oil outside of it. If you remove the nozzle it will not function properly. We do sell bottles of avocado oil that you can pour into a glass container.

Does this work better than olive oil spray? I continue to have grains stick to the bottom of pressure cooker using olive oil spray.

I do not know the answer to that question. I use avocado oil because of the higher heat point that olive oil.

I heard this was a great spray but arrived frozen

This spray arrived frozen/too cold and even after it reached a normal temp. it just dripped out of the sprayer. I bought one at the store and it sprayed great. Amazon price was good but don't order it in the winter.

Great spray and better for your health and pans!

I love this spray! A little goes a long way and doesn't taste like Avocado. I was worried that it would. I have read many articles that say sprays like Pam and store brand sprays are not only bad for your cookware but not healthy for your body either. Since trying this for a few months, I will never go back to the other stuff.

REAL 100% Pure Avocado Oil!

I believe a test was performed evaluating a number of avocado oils, with this brand testing the highest. I don't really taste the difference between this and other avo oils, but I think that's a good thing. It sprays very well and is light on flavor!
