I have had this unit for a few months now. It is beautiful and functional. Even though it is all white, there is an embossed wood grain that keeps it from looking cheap. The fireplace can be used to heat the room or with no heat, for the ambiance. I won't say the fire looks real, none that I've seen do that, but it looks good for the relatively low price. The cabinets are large enough to fit your game controllers and some DVDs (or VHS). I have always wanted a fireplace and this makes a nice focal point for the room, so it isn't totally dominated by the television.Assembly: It came well-packaged, with the parts grouped into smaller boxes inside the main carton. Unless you are a weightlifter, don't try to pick it up alone! The inside boxes were labelled with the contents in nice big letters and there were dots on each piece. They even distinguished between right and left parts, which I've never seen before. The instructions were clear and I was able to put it together without help. It did take a few hours, as I am always careful to be sure of each step before attaching anything. The cabinet doors were the only tricky part. They are made so you can adjust them to swing properly, be level, and level with each other. I discovered one was slightly warped, but it isn't noticeable. Maybe the carton should be left to "acclimate" to the air in your room, like new flooring does before it is installed. I think the time required for flooring is 3 days, but I could be wrong on that.Overall, I would buy any of their products in the future without the qualms I generally feel when ordering online.

Not only is this thing an amazing pain in the kiester to put together, it's deceptively small and poorly made. The only reason I'm not returning it is because I don't have the time or patients to disassemble and rebox it. Made by "Twin-Star"...hahaha...nope, 1 star...but even the name suggests that it should rate low.

I'm not sure I'm a fan of the white color compared to the wood color that's currently being advertised on Amazon, but it's not a bad look. Definitely not a design that will stand out in your living room, however. I do like the fireplace effect - as far as these somewhat cheesy fake fires go, it looks better than any of the others I have seen. We have not had any issues with the build or electronics.Keep in mind when you order something like this from Amazon, you'll be getting a huge box (almost surprised by the size of the box compared to the finished product) that is very heavy. Setup is a bit of a pain in the neck, but not exceptionally hard. Just expect to set aside several hours for the work.Honestly I feel it is overpriced for what it is (I'd expect to get something a lot nicer looking, with better materials, for the $389 price it's currently going for) and I can't say the white, Wal-Mart, "functional" aesthetic works in its favor, but it is what it is.

Beautiful. I was looking for a piece for my living room and found it. So happy with this because it was reasonably priced and beautiful and modern.

Our family loves the new addition to the living room and definitely needed it this winter. Great price and perfect size!
