This is great stuff! Kind of has a limey detergent smell to it. Wait till it goes on sale. I got my 4.2 for 44 bucks to my door.

It’s overly hard to pick a cologne online without knowing the scent, and it’s even harder to write about it. So let’s first talk about the packaging and container quality. It’s absolutely 5-star if you intend to give it as a gift. There’s wood under the metal lid with real ropes around on top of it that remind me of ship anchors. It’s very detailed and well executed. Even just letting it sit on the counter elevates any room.Now, my subjective review of the scent and the reason I reduced one star. If you’re buying it for yourself, I highly suggest trying it out at a store first. It is too sweet for my taste. My current day to day scent is Missoni Wave, and I absolutely love that scent. Over the years I've enjoyed and cherished the scents of Chanel Blue, John Varvatos, some Calvin’s, Viktor&Rolf's Spicebomb, Jean Paul, Bvlgari, L’occitane, and even some small boutique-only brands from Italy. I’m writing all these to give you a sense of what I consider good scent—which I change every season or in rotation—and also to let you know that this Tommy was not one of my favorites. The sweetness may be better for winter time, but even at that, it reminds me of my now older uncles when they were younger. I don’t think this is the right scent for a young man or someone that feels young at heart, and it’s more suited towards mature audience, but then again, scents are very subjective and depend on your skin type. Women love this scent, the smell has hints of cedar wood. Not overwhelming, has a good clean smell.
