Open Water 3 Cage Dive [DVD]

I still liked the 1st one the best. Although, I did like this one more than the 2nd. About 3/4 of the way through, it started to drag a little. I'd watch it again but not right away. If you like the other movies in this series than you'll probably like this one too. If you don't like "found footage" movies then you don't want to watch this one.

They can keep making these forever, as far as I'm concerned, as long as they stick to the "root for detestable characters to die a horrible death" formula. And the night scenes in Open Water 1, 2, and 3 are terrifying in a purely situational sense, no matter how poorly done they are (and they are very poorly done in this installment). A fair Friday night time waster. 2.5 stars.

I like the movie. I saw the first two and loved those. This to me isn't as good as either of them but it is still one of the few good shark movies that I have seen aside from the first Jaws. So I would recommend it as well as Open Water, Open Water 2 Adrift, and The Shallows. All other shark movies I've seen are intentionally bad/funny or just bad. I like the more realstic ones and this is one of those. If you've already seen the first two, just don't expect this one to be as good.

It's about a shark caging expedition that gets toppled by a rogue wave, and the rest is an imitation of Open Water / Blair Witch, done in embarrassingly bad "found footage" style. The image of the wave hitting the boat is legitimately intimidating, and there's one jump scare that works. So . . . that's a good five or ten seconds of quality for your investment.

This movie is presented almost solely and entirely from the perspective of the "Found Footage" variety. This movie completely lacked the charm and creativity of the first two films. The premise is simple enough, three friends having a great time together, cutting into a sudden twist that is as annoying, as the lack of third person perspectives in this film. I give it a hearty thumbs down. I would only recommend wasting time on this if you can get to watch it as part of your Prime video shows, otherwise, the rental price is entirely to high at $3.99. I think $.99 is too expensive, for this.

The movie was not as bad as some of the reviews describe it, but not the best open water movie, I felt so bad for Jeff and wished he'd have made it, AND THAT DUMB BITCH MEGAN COULD HAVE DIED SOONER AND SAVED THE OTHER GUYS THAT LIFE RAFT. Opening that flare in an air filled life raft was just beyond dumb. I wished Jeff had survived, the other 2 deserved it for betraying Jeff

Waste of time. I'm not a fan of any of the open water series, this being the worst. Drama is fine, unless it is because characters are stupid. I draw a line at stupidity induced drama. One of those movies I couldn't wait for it to be over. If I wasn't watching it as a group, I would've turned it off.
