Will big trains like Gordon fit

The Thomas trains which fit this track have wheels about one and an eighth inches apart, and I'm not sure how big your Gordon is... track comes with a Thomas of the right size, so if Gordon is the same, he'll fit just fine, this track takes up most of my living room but it's FUN

I have the thomas train table, will this set fit on it?

I'm not sure of the size of the "Thomas The Train Table", but this set is quite large as far as track coverage area. It's the largest one we've ever seen or purchased for our son. I'd measure the table and then look under details on the size on here and see. Hope that helps! I seriously doubt it will fit though.

Will this set connect to the other sets? I see the adaptors are included, but I didn't quite understand if that meant other sets could be attached.
