Second Review ... works perfectly and awesome customer support
This is my second review, just to emphasize that I've never had an issue with "It frequently stalls out." as mentioned by another reviewer. The keyboard always arrives fully charged and I SELDOM need to recharge it; never do I have to use a backup keyboard.Everyone's results may vary, but this is the best keyboard I've had and I consider buying a few more (!) as backups. They may not last 5 years, but the response from Arteck for any ultimate failure is very satisfactory, and for the price--can't beat it.Also I mentioned previously about the raised nub on the F and J, and those are more prominent now. Plus, the white lettering does not wear off with HEAVY keyboard use. And, if it slides off your lap, it is sturdy and doesn't fall apart.V_______________My first review is below, but now I just have to say that I had a little problem ... after six months use, and the response from Arteck was IMMEDIATE and CLEAR and satisfied everything I needed.Amazing. Blown away. And the keyboard, once I got used to it, so small and tidy and clicky (I'd still like a little background lighted action would be nice) but this is perfect for my needs.24 month warranty to boot!Hell, just buy it because the customer support is awesome.+++++++++++++++++From just after receiving it:Perfect little keyboard. Good feel to the keys, little bit more of the clicky sound than I prefer, but it isn't noisier than any others.Another fine point, as I often work in low-light conditions, I would have just liked the little raised bits on the F and J to be more prominent, or the OPTION to light up the keyboard -- but I'm a touch typist and will just develop more fingertip sensitivity!Otherwise, it is lightweight. It was charged when arrived and I've just recharged once, all functions easy.I didn't check about a sleep mode, but if I'm done for a while I just slide the off switch, like I do with my mouse. No problems.

Sleek looking minimalist keyboard
Pandemic working from home lead to revamping the home office. Now having to have work and play PCs coexisting on the same desk i needed to make some changes. First i tried a USB switch to swap one keyboard between the computers. I very quickly found my self goofing what PC the keyboard was currently connected to (both were running and had active monitors) and typing things where they shouldn't be typed (uh oh). Fast forward to solution 2. Having two discrete keyboards. My full sized keyboard stayed on the USB switch for when work was over but i bought this Arteck keyboard to be a minimalist keyboard off to the side during the work day. It worked marvelously to separate work and play!Onto the keyboard. Its very small without the numpad and the arrows below the shift key while maintaining full sized keys. Honestly I've never had it run out of power and i use it for weeks daily before i charge it just because i feel like I'm supposed to. Its got an off switch so i can put it in front of my kid when she wants to type with dad. The keys have just the right amount of 'click'. It has volume controls on it via the Fn key. Receiver works just as it should. Overall it checked all my boxes for a reasonable price and looks great with its brushed look.Pros:-Aesthetically pleasing-Great battery life-Great tactile feel-Compact footprint while maintaining full size keys-Compact dongle-Simple setup-Reasonable priceCons-I haven't run into any yet

My favorite keyboard
I adore this keyboard. I've lost track of how many years I had the predecessor to this one, which was exactly the same from the same company. It survived many hazards before succumbing to yet another water spill. (My bad!) My pc does not support bluetooth, but honestly I'm not blown away by the bluetooth products I've had for my tablet. Really, when it came to needing the replacement, I crossed my fingers and hoped I could get the same one again - and did, this one. So far I have seen no drop in quality despite buying the two many years apart and that being the case for so many products these days. I am very pleased with it. I wish everyone could find a keyboard that serves them as well as this one does me. And if you're going the wireless usb keyboard route, it's likely to be this one or their full size version. Some points of interest:* Battery life - I basically never turn it off, use it daily typically hours at a time, and charge maybe once a month. I always charge fully when I do, if you any issues always try charging fully first. (This is true of all rechargables, it's sort of the equivalent of turn off/on again.)* Size/key spacing - obviously, it's short. But the keys are of a fairly normal size with normal spacing, and flat topped. Good for my small hands and decent for my broad shoulders. I have other keyboards I cannot praise this way.* Layout - it's a standard qwerty other than being truncated to not have the keypad portion. There is the ability to use Fn+[arrow key] for Home, Page up/down, and End so it does retain those functions if you need them. Again, I have others I cannot praise this way, such as one which insanely moves the position of left ctrl - a breaking issue for a hot key user - again, though, no issue here!* Responsiveness - occassionally it's a bit, well, sleepy, waking from sleep. Usually happens when logging in for the first time in the day, nothing a quick tap of any key won't fix. Far more real time responsive than any bluetooth device I have ever used, no lag at all once out of sleep.* Comfort - for regular typing, like I said the spacing is very close to a regular size. For gaming, the arrow keys are only half size, and games which use a wasd + arrows combination can be uncomfortable. That said, most pc games use WASD + mouse where it is no issue.* Special Functions with [Fn] - Along the F# keys row, there is Media, Play/Pause, Back, Forward, Mute, Quieter, Louder, WebHome, WebSearch, WebBookmarks, Poweroff, Insert, and PrintScreen. There is also the arrow key functions mentioned previously. The order of Play/Back/Forward seems a little strange, but otherwise seems very standard and useful. I don't use most of these except PrintScreen, but I just tested them all and they work as expected.* Other features - the slight tilt built in is nice. There are some flat grips on the back that prevent it sliding around. It is very portable and the metal back does not add significant weight compared to some of my shorter, plastic bluetooth boards - kind of surprising that they are so similar in weight feel, really. I'd say it's likely far more durable, though I'm not going to stress test it to find out. All around, a very good little keyboard.
