I am looking at the orb round version--is this weather resistant for outdoor use? is it really solid brass?

It is really made of solid brass and it is weather resistant for out side door use.

What is the size of the recessed part? Need to verify that it will fit in an existing hole.

the recessed part size: 8.2 mm, and the face plate thickness: 1.8 mm. so need to make total 10 mm be flushed.

What size hole do I drill to drop this into?

revise the size hole here: to drill hole:1-1/2” Dia. and 0.42” Depth and use the product as template to install.
