Great machine, great customer service. Comes with all you need to get started polishing stones. Customer service is great and fast with answering questions and any issues you may have. Motor is strong and easily adjusted with the dial. I've created many cabochons using this lap machine.

Amazing what right tool can do !Instead of spending money on cheaper diy I should have bought it right away .

This machine is well made.....very solid. I like the different speeds that it has. It's definitely a quality piece of equipment. My only complaint is the drip tank. The knob to turn the water on or off is not exact.....meaning it's hard to tell when it's in the closed position. I think the overall design of the drip tank could have been improved.....and the plastic on/off knob should have been replaced by a brass/metal type valve.Other than this the machine works quite well. I've purchased other equipment from this company and their products are very high quality.

Just received super fast, set up was easy. Had some rocks already cut and taking them up to an amazing finish went quicker than I expected and my wife said they looked better than the ones on the rock shops! this is my first flat lap so nothing to compare it to but am super happy and also love it's made in the USA which is very important to me.

The first round of trying to shape these was rough…. Literally. I had so many flat spots. Getting the foam pads was a game changer. It made my cabs rounded and expedited the process.I found this out the hard way and had to remove each grit from the plastic base then put the foam pads on.If you are making rounded cabs don’t buy this without the foam pads!Additionally, I bought a couple diamond grit wheels to shape them faster up front, then I use the pad included to get them smooth and shiny!

Works OK, weak motor and flimsy water system

I was excited about this design because the water runs down a tube, not out of the side like the other model. Two major flaws are the excess table which is an absolute nightmare to clean, and the splash guard. The splash guard is super flimsy and I’m using small clamps to keep it from tipping over with a full water well attached. Some way to actually attach it would be nice. The excess table that catches the water and excess that is ground off the rocks is a disaster of a design. But the machine works great and I’m able to prep for the upcoming rock show.
