Works as advertised. But they can pop off like a firework due to the air pressure inside the wine bottle.

I had a difficult time finding floor drain plugs for my Ascend kayak until I found these. They have worked real well.

We are wine drinkers and we LOVE these. So inexpensive and easy to use. We've gave them as stocking stuffers for Christmas. Highly recommend.

As it happened, I accidentally let one of these fall into the garbage disposal...and you see the result.The product advertises "the stoppers have a stainless steel core that won't rust, crack or fade."They definitely do NOT have that.What it DOES have (see pics) is a hard plastic core (though not solid) that only goes about half-way down, and that plastic core is covered by a very thin piece of metal (may not even be stainless steel) designed to look like it has a stainless steel core.I rated low because I'm not a big fan of false advertising, BUT I will vouch for the actual usefulness of the product - it does work well (I use for beer bottles mostly) and they do provide a nice seal that lasts for days.If not for the misleading advertising, it would be a 5-star review.

I've very carefully laid the bottle horizontal, but I don't have confidence that it won't let go. It seals, but not secure enough for me to leave it on its side. Vertical on the counter seals very well can come back to it later and finish off the bottle.

Great for capping unfinished bottles (rare as those may be)

The metal bit at the top isn't sealed so water gets inside when you wash them. And then it's impossible to get the water out.
