Excellent Value and Quality!
Loved these leaves! They add a delicious and traditional flavor to Mexican Black Beans which I made today. In Mexico they are also known as "frijoles de la olla" when they are soupier. The leaves impart a deep rich herbal flavor which pairs beautifully with the bay leaves which must also be used. This brand is a great value and am impressed with the quality and aroma of the leaves. Highly recommended!

Behold! Avocado leaves
As they say, if it looks like an avocado leaf, smells like an avocado leaf, walks like an avocado leaf, it is likely an avocado leaf. Though I had an avocado tree in a pot for many years, I had never bitten into its leaves, so I'm not sure if the flavor is accurate. Sadly, our avocado tree died about 2 months prior to me making a recipe which required them. Although I read that the kind of avocado tree I had had poisonous leaves, versus these which I assume are edible. The proof is in the pudding, I did survive eating these in small quantity. I would describe them as tasting kind of like dried black tea leaves, with a slight resinous flavor. Is this the flavor I was looking for? I assume so. The molé called for them, I added them in small quantity as instructed. The end product to tasted good, so I suppose these avocado leaves may have contributed minorly. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to taste leaves of the avocado plant.

do not buy, low grade avocado leaves
these are broken, brittle, flimsy leaves....should be more durable, shiny and thicker.aroma is non-existent, and they are super dusty, (which means they are super old)....also (see picture) they are possibly moldy, there are some leaves with yellow bumps (fungus??) growing on them, not a good sign at all.....would not add to beans, soup or any other food to soak (yuck).i only bought them because Masidena ran out of their leaves....even though their size is only 0.25 oz (compared to 2 oz here) all their leaves are high quality and very aromatic. for the same exact money as these awful leaves just buy theirs instead, or what until they are back in stock, which is what i should have done.....these leaves should have stayed on the ground where they found them.

I’m not even gonna try them 🙁
I purchased these avocado leaves for a new recipe I’m trying but decided not to use them. I’m not sure if it’s normal, but there’s a ton of little holes all over the leaves. Kind looks like worms got to them 🤢 this is the first time I’ve ever seen avocado leaves so perhaps it’s normal? I tried looking online but there’s no information and the images do not show holes.. They’re also broken into tiny pieces and I need whole leaves for my recipe. Oh well, guess I’m omitting this ingredient… fingers crossed everything turns out.. I would not recommend these.
