Chopper to buy again and again
This is a life changing chopper. I am very glad I bought this and enjoying with every penny. This is very cost effective. Chops really easy and fast. It doesn't smush everything but actually diced vegetables.Really powerful blade and motor. Good size. Not too big not too small. For family of 5-7 easily you can chop vegetables for dinner under 5 mins.

Honest thoughts from a guy who actually paid for his
At the time of writing, 70% - 14 of the 21 reviews appearing here are from Vine Voice reviewers - those customers hand picked by Amazon to give a "fair and unbiased review" in trade for receiving their product free of charge. In this case a product valued at $69.95.I bought mine. Got it on sale here on Amazon for $34.95. This is not a paid review, and here are my truly "unbiased" thoughts:It works as advertised and does a fabulous job of chopping onions, carrots and even mushrooms (which come out very finely chopped, just the way my meatloaf recipe calls for). It assembles easily, and makes quick work of anything you put in it. As you can imagine, it needs to be rinsed thoroughly after use, but I found cleanup to be quick and straight forward. You do however have to pre-cut the items small enough to fit the container...so don't throw away your knife just yet.The chop and drop basket is a brilliant solution to the problem of inconsistent chopping often encountered with standard food processors. I do wish the cup didn't have vertical ribs on the inside, which make it a little difficult to get all the chopped food off the sidewall of the container, but that's a very minor point. There are still times I'll be sticking to my trusty chef's knife and cutting board though, as I prefer the look of properly cut veggies in some stews and soups. But when you're going for a quick chop -- especially onions, this does the job, quickly and efficiently. In conclusion, it's a good machine for the price I paid, though I wouldn't have spent $69.95 for it.

I bought this cause i hate dicing carrots like for mirapoix and also i was thinking maybe i can replace my small food processor wih it. Dicing carrots take long time, i would avoid it if possible. So i tried this with carrots, onions and celery and it worked as it says it does. The pieces are not uniformly sized but i don't care anyway . Im not looking for perfection, i'm after the convenience, less time spent on prepping. Clean up is not bad, i hand washed it. Just be careful with the blade. It would take me longer to dice carrots than cleaning it up. But i realized i cannot replace my small food processor with it cause this one, the motor is on top, you cannot drizzle oil while processing if your recipe calls for it. But i still give it a 5 star. Oh i also tried manual dicing tools from other maker. Its not easy to use them on carrots and potatoes, i havee to slice them thin so the dicer can cut through them.

Almost useless-terrible design
Almost completely useless design that takes up far too much space on the countertop. It’s got two different blades: one works with a basket and chops onion. It will chop garlic and other things, but you are limited to the single size chopped result based on the basket’s hole.It also has a conventional blade that sits flat on the bottom of the chopping bowl. It’s a single blade, and the design is such that it won’t chop anything that isn’t A flat S the blade. It leaves garlic in big, nearly untouched shape. It doesn’t blend, either.Thoughtless design and almost useless.

IT WORKS!!
I bought the Multichopper to help speed up time in the kitchen while preparing my vegetables. It really helps me dice up my vegies a lot quicker. The machine works great and is a strong device in terms of the way it sounds, feels and works. Very smooth performance and simple to use.No complaints as of yet.

Love this Philips MultiChopper !
This is great when making salsas or just chopping onions. I have a recipe that calls for 3 different onions, peppers, and jalapeno peppers all to be diced. it was so easy to make using this chopper! There are several pieces that requiretaking apart to wash but when dicing everything for the same recipe you only have to do it once. The directions for use are easy to follow and there is a reason it mentions the blades are VERY sharp because they are ! This is the best, easiest to use chopper I have ever owned.
