Great for all-levels of embroidery/fiber craft!
This is a great value-purchase for any level of hand sewer. I’m using it as my sewing medium for a series of embroideries for my portfolio. I haven’t used any of the threads yet, but I don’t anticipate too much trouble. I plan on using ~18” length, 3-6 ply, and 2-6mm backstitches. Two notes:These are NOT DMC-quality. They are wholesale craft market quality; still an excellent purchase though. Imagine getting a new box of 120 Crayola crayons, no sharpener. There’s a lot of confusion about quantity/color count and package contents. You will receive 240 skeins total. There are 120 colors; 1 dupe of each color. None of them have color reference numbers and there’s no sewing kit starter (needles, threaded, scissors), both of which would be great additions.Overall, solid buy for anyone who needs decent quality, great color selection, quantity, and cost efficiency.

If you make friendship bracelets, you NEED this string!!
Making friendship bracelets is my favorite hobby, and I’ve made A LOT of them. I’ve been trying out different brands of embroidery thread for a couples months, and this is by far the best quality string I’ve used.Usually with other embroidery thread, trying to untie a knot can be really tricky and ruin your thread. This string doesn’t fry and spilt off nearly as much as some brands I’ve gotten. They’re also thick, and the individual threads stay together perfectly. The strings don’t stick together when tying a knot like has happened to me with other brands.ALSO, another amazing plus about the thread is the packaging. They come bagged in order of color (pink, purple, brown/neutrals, green, blue). It has never been easier to organize my thread collection after picking out new string for a bracelet.10/10I’m never getting a different brand of sting again.

A great value
There is so much embroidery floss in this pack…it is well worth the price. I found the quality to be good overall, & although it may not be exactly the level of DMC per say, I didn’t notice a marked difference in the level of quality. I think if you’re using this for the purposes of friendship bracelets like I am, it’s a very good choice, as I noticed you get two skiens of each color & you just get so much floss. If you’re using this for embroidery, you may grow frustrated, as they are not numbered, so you’d have to try & eyeball whether the color is a match, & you just may not have enough to tackle your project. I haven’t had an opportunity to make a friendship bracelet with these yet…basically just organized them putting the two identical skiens in bags together, & coming up with my own numbers based on a rainbow order, & whether they’re brights or morandi colors.

Great budget friendly floss in tons of colors!
I got this floss for cross-stitch, knowing it wouldn't be quite the quality I'm used to in DMC. In that, I got what I expected - it's a little bulkier, a little less smooth and shiny than DMC. However, for the price? This is bomb. Tons of gorgeous colors arranged chromatically so it's easy to find what you want, and 2 skeins of every color. It'll be great for small projects to send to friends, etc. I think it would also be perfect for friendship bracelets. I'm quite happy with it. Just FYI - it does tangle a bit more easily than DMC, and it does break once in a while. It's not bad though and hasn't been to the point where I have been overly frustrated. Just don't pull super tight (which you're not supposed to do with embroidery anyway).

Great for artists who use some of this and some of that
So very many lovely colors! I bought this floss a few years ago, and even though I've used it regularly, I have barely started tapping into my stash. The colors are all lovely, and I'll use all of them in embroidery. I carded them onto bobbins and organized in a way that makes sense to me and have been absolutely thrilled with them. These threads are a lot less expensive than DMC ... BUT... there aren't numbers to correspond to DMC's numbering convention. Now, this doesn't matter to me, as I am an artist who floats through different media, and often uses a few different media to create a piece. But if you're one of the sewists who needs to go back to buy more of a certain color, this is definitely not the set for you. However, if you're like me and tend to mix things up and use multiple media to create a piece, try this floss! The colors are superb, lush and rich. It's smooth and doesn't tangle any more than other nice flosses. They aren't *quite* as shiny as DMC, but are shinier than the cheap, crappy floss you'll get at big-box craft stores. I know, I've fallen prey to that cheap floss before.I'm still glad I bought a large pack of this floss for embroidery. Now I'm learning macramé and will use some of the floss to make bracelets. The colors are sophisticated enough that I feel good using this floss for jewelry.

Only use if you’ll be using less than 2 skeins of a particular color.
The colors between packages do not match properly. The darker green in the picture doesn’t exist in the second package I got and the lighter green is off by a noticeable amount. I bought a second pack of this floss because I was running out of these 2 colors and another. However, I was extremely disappointed when the colors I needed were not the same. The thread itself I have no complaints about. There is a variety of shiny vs matte in various colors. It holds up well for cross stitching and I am overall pleased with the outcome of my projects. The matte flosses do seem to fray if I use too long of a piece but I don’t know of any thread that lasts any better in this application. The shiny floss holds up way better and doesn’t tangle nearly as easily. Some of the matte threads are very stiff with all 6 strands but in double they aren’t hard to work with as long as the strands aren’t too long or they fray and tangle.I would certainly purchase these again in the future for a variety of projects but will look at other brands (DMC for sure) when I need consistent colors for bigger projects.
