A good cupper in the morning or anytime
I have been ordering this tea for more than a year now. We are big tea drinkers and consider us a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to tea taste. This black tea has a wonderful aroma. We drink it every morning sometimes with cream sometimes without. So far I have more than 10 lb of it. The honey colored tea in your cup is a great tasting tea especially since it is offered for a reasonable price per pound. We used to order Ostfriesen tea from Germany but it is becoming rare to find and very price. This tea matches up to the Ostfriesen tea very well.

Great tea, good price, effective packaging.
This has become my favorite tea. Long actual tea leaves; much better than the powder found in most tea bags.Great taste and color; brews into a great cuppa in 5 minutes.Packaging is very effective at keeping the tea fresh.

Rich Flavor and Great Quality!
Ahmad Tea Ceylon OPA Loose Leaf is an excellent choice for black tea lovers. The leaves are large and fragrant, offering a smooth, rich flavor with a hint of natural sweetness. It brews beautifully, creating a strong and aromatic cup of tea that's perfect for enjoying with or without milk. The quality is noticeable from the first sip, and it’s ideal for both morning energy boosts and relaxing afternoon tea. Plus, the packaging keeps it fresh for longer. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates a good cup of Ceylon tea!

Excellent loose tea!
I usually stick with straight orthodox Assam, tippy whole leaf, best I can find in volume, for the least I can pay. Took a chance on this Ahmad Imperial, as I’m not averse to a little bergamot. I’ll even drink a solid earl grey if someone else makes it, but just prefer a straight Assam for my high volume all day tea drinking. This is a real winner! It’s predominantly a mix of Darjeeling and Assam as advertised, with just a slight hint of bergamot. If there was any less bergamot I would not taste it at all. Very subtle there. The leaves are quite whole, at least the shippers did not smash my box this time, and it’s just a really fine looking and tasting leaf structure and blend, especially for what appears to be a great regular price. Under, or even around, a dollar an ounce is a good deal for this. It’s straight enough to where I’ll probably just drink through this for a week or so before going back to my regs.Maybe I’m a bit tea high at the moment, but having just opened the bright red box around Christmas kinda just tickled my good cheer. The tea is a winner.Frankly Ahmad is 100% so far for my whole leaf purchases. Many pounds bought and consumed!! I’m now feeling inclined to try another loose black of theirs that I would normally not think of buying.

Too much bergamot
I don't want to give this less than four stars since it seems good quality, and I'm an ignorant grandpa-tea drinker. I enjoy Earl Grey from time to time, and I knew this had some bergamot, but I was thinking more of an accent. To my palate, this has considerably more bergamot than Earl Grey. The listing doesn't highlight this ingredient as much as "citrus," and I think this is somewhat misleading, since it's hard for me to taste much more than the bergamot. If this sounds good to you, go for it. I suggest brewing on the weaker side so it's not overpoweringly astringent.

BLACK JASMINE recommend as a decent budget tea blend
I mostly purchase tea cultivars of higher grade quality, but still indulge in a good "budget tea" and trust the brand AHMAD.Due to small leaf size I strongly encourage purchasing paper tea bags for brewing if like me, you also hate tea dust at the bottom of your cup. The price for 1lb of tea is a steal! It will last me several months.I will also share that black jasmine tea is actually a rarity even in China. I made this purchase after a sample of a higher grade with actual jasmine buds but $25 for 3.5 oz ... (you judge the price) I loved the tea, but not so much to spend that much for another taste. :)So of course I did my searching and found this listing with the delight in knowing it was AHMAD and the quantity for the price made me pounce! Here is my official review as I am currently sipping my first pot.AROMA: as stated on the box it is with added "jasmine flavoring" so you'll find no buds in this blend. The aroma is that of a cheaper green jasmine tea or that of an orchid candle I have. This may be a red flag for tea "purists". You do get sort of an after taste as well from the jasmine.LIQOUR: light in color (more orange than red) and decently translucent for a flavored tea that is not high grade. Smooth and thick taste as I was generous with my leaf quantity. (I advise not using too much at first as the flavor is not so light)TASTTING: the leaf is similar to an orange pekoe or light Darjeeling. I'm sure AHMAD mostly sources Indian teas as they are a UK company. Leaf is by no means bitter, but be cautious as they make stronger blends that what most Americans are used to. This isn't meant to be watered down tea.LEAF QUALITY: 7/10FLAVOR: 7/10PRICE: 12/10

Earl Grey - Good strong flavor
In comparison to other Earl brands I've had historically, this Ahmad Earl Grey blows them away. Has a good stronger tea flavor with a pleasant hit of bergamot. Actually quite addicting.
