Amazon EssentialsMen's Lightweight Water-Resistant Packable Puffer Vest

I purchased a large size of this vest. Unfortunately, the way the vest is cut it is quite baggy in the waist--it seems perfect for a person carrying around an extra 40 lbs in their stomach area, but for the rest of us it is not a flattering cut or look. This baggy look can be seen in one of the models on the website, but not on the other, who seems much slimmer. Other than the "A" shape cut of the vest, the color is nice, the quality good and the price very reasonable. I returned it and brought another brand's down vest. Time to send the template for the large size back to the factory and check the other sizes as well for form and shape.

Im 6 foot 1 and about 175 lbs so I thought a large would be fine. I was wrong. It was like a tarp on me. I exchanged for a medium and it's perfect.

For the money, this is a very good vest. It's not for extreme cold but serves well in the 35-50 degree range when accompanied by the appropriate base layer. Perfect for my North Carolina winters.The quality seems fine although I haven't had it long enough to be a fair judge of it's durability. The arm holes and waist hug the body which makes it look more fashionable but also more effective for insulation.I now have two and wear them often. I do recommend this vest.

Fit is excellent. It's not ultralight (like Uniqlo) but light enough while still holding its structure nicely. Warmer than expected, can definitely feel the warmth in my chest and back after a few minutes of wearing the vest. Comes with a little pouch. No frills, great value - guess what Amazon Essentials line is supposed to be.

After reading other reviews saying this vest was sized large I ordered both a L and XL with plans to return what didn't fit. I do like the best. It is lightweight and would pack easily. However, the sizing is very odd. I am a little over 6ft and weigh 201. The L fits but is tighter than I like. Plus, a little short. The XL is quite a bit larger and sticks out a bit on the sides. But I did gain the length. I am keeping the XL but wish there was a L/XL in between size. You will definitely need to try this one on. Don't assume your size.

Bought this upon a recommendation for European travel this fall. Need something light-weight and packable. Looked at the down version but saw a lot of negative reviews regarded feathers flying out. Hence my trying this model. And for the price it is a steal! Is very nice looking in the green. Not too olive as I feared. I am 6'2', 170# and fall in the middle between a medium and a large. I got the large and it fits me perfectly. Comes just to my waistline. (Could have been an inch or 2 longer.) I do not have an athletic build and this fits nicely on my shoulders and down the front. Neither too tight nor too loose. Has 2 very nice generous interior pockets for gloves or scarfs. Has two zippered exterior pockets. All zippers appear to be solid and smooth sliding. Folds easily into its compact sac. Highly recommend for a travel garment which can be layered.

I bought 3 of these as a Christmas gift to my Boyfriend and his 2 sons. He was going to wear his today for the first time and we noticed that there’s a large rip at the seam on the bottom edge. So disappointing :(. If it wasn’t for that it would have been perfect

I don't know if there are better puffer vests out there. I have purchased several of these in this price range $30-$45, and this one is by far the best. It fits right, is not too heavy or too light for what I wear it for, in and out of my car in 40- 60 degree weather. Others material felt like plastic grocery bags, or I don't care for the fit. I'm sold on this and will always consider Amazon Essentials in the future.

I ordered an XL, which was supposed to be 44 - 46 inch chest. It actually measured just over 51 inches.I also didn't like the fact that the zip was the opposite way around to normal. Apparently the USA style.Anyway, I returned it immediately and bought a gilet from Matalan which was actually a few pounds cheaper, fitted correctly, and is also better made.

Hard to judge if 4 or 5 stars. Well made, good price probably durable. 5 stars for what it is. My problem is that I was looking for a down filled gilet rather than one with man made material.It would be good if in addition to this Amazon made and sold a down filled one. The price should not be greatly higher considering the vast quantities available in Eastern countries.

This fits perfectly, I can’t believe how good this is for the price , I’m a hill Walker and have spent far more on Branded ones and this is as good as any of them, wish I had got one sooner I would have saved £100’s over the years. Already bought another one. .

Arrived much earlier than expected which was great. Good quality. It’s a Christmas present (yes I know it’s early) for a friend but I’m impressed by the quality. Would definitely recommend.

Comes with a small pouch to pack it away.Be sure to buy one size smaller as this is a proper sized item. Usually for jackets I tend to go as a 2XL but this one in XL fits about the same with room for another layer underneath too.Good value for the money. Not too heavy, not too light.One suggestion could be to replace the zipper pulls with some aftermarket ones.
