I bought this to use with a smarty 5g sim (three network) but can only access smarty 3g network. tried the sim in iphone and 5g immediately. advise?

In Woking area a Three SIM gave me 5G last weekend but only about 40mbps. That slow speed is likely Three under provisioning the bandwidth to their phone towers.

Can you run the unit always connected by powered usb cable without the battery inserted ( i was able to run a netgear m2 and d-link unit that way ) ?

I use it battery inserted and connected to supply source via usb
