You will not be disappointed.
I wish it would've come with instructions on how to put it together. But, it wasn't difficult and I haven't had any problems with it falling apart. It is a bit painful to use, but I imagine that that will subside the more I use it. I love that I am getting some added benefit (exercise) from doing an activity I truly enjoy. I often use it while watching TV. I do like how big it is, also. I specifically looked for a hoola hoop that was large and this fit the bill. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend.

10 Reasons I Love This Hoop!
I researched using a hula hoop for exercise and finally decided to take the plunge. After looking at several sites that offered different styles, weights, and diameters I chose this one and have been using it for 3 1/2 weeks. Observations: 1. The diameter is a bit big for my 5'4" height, supposed to come to the belly button when standing on end, but doesn't seem to be an issue. 2. At first the weight was a bit much, but after using it for a few days it seems fine. 3. I like that it is segmented so I can travel with it which I do once a week. At first it was a little difficult to put together and take apart, but now I have no problem. 4. It does "hurt" your sides when you first begin to use it, but stick with it, built up to longer times, and that all goes away. 5. I really feel the workout in my legs, thighs, and buttocks. While hooping, I'm now holding weights in my hands and moving my arms to work them as well. 6. This seems to give me an aerobic workout if I hoop for 15 plus minutes. 7. My balance has improved considerably in the 3 1/2 weeks I've been using it. 8. I like that I can pick it up at odd times and hoop for a few minutes as well as planned workouts of longer duration. 9. My co-worker is now using my hoop and has had similar observations and loves it as well. 10. I like that it is "low tech". Watch a couple of Youtube videos and you are ready to go!

This is a big hoop!
The hoop comes in pieces that are easy to snap together I'm never worried that it will come apart. It has some padding that if you are out doors hooping and let it fall to the floor will scuff or possibly tear. There is weight to this and if you're not used to hula hooping you will be sore. It's great for exercising or showing children how to hula hoop.

Love it!
I'm so glad I bought this. It came in 6 pieces that were pretty easy to snap together. I didn't see any instructions, but I do wonder if it can be taken apart. If so, I haven't been able to do it. It is well cushioned, but I would still recommend wearing an extra layer of clothing to prevent bruising. It can be painful, especially if the hoop goes down around the hip bones or up around the ribs. The hoop is large, so make sure you have enough space to use it safely. I like to use it while watching tv in my living room.

Not as shown and dangerous
I finally opened this after my pregnancy. When I put it together I noticed the connections were hard metal and not the nice plastic as shown on the box. Its larger than any other adult hoop and very inconvenient. Once connected I used for about 20 seconds before a section flew off across the room and hit my toddler in the face and busted open his lip causing an expensive trip to the urgent care. This product is not as nice as pictured and is dangerous to use.

Fun Exercise
I'm having fun with my hula hoop! It is heavy, and at first I did get small bruises from using it. But that quickly stopped, and it's a fun way to get some light exercise for my core muscles.

Fun, painful and well made.
Okay believe the hype this thing is huge! Well constructed. Hurts like hell. If you have a muffin top it will get bruised beyond belief. I only use it occasionally. You definitely feel it, but I never really got past the pain stage.
