JetLine Hurricane Triple Torch Lighter (Gun Metal)

I'm an avid cigar smoker and own several (inexpensive) lighters. I had a couple of nice triple flame ones I picked up on Ebay several years ago which finally stopped working. I looked around at on line cigar sites and eventually here at Amazon. This looked like a pretty reliable and attractive lighter based on the reviews and pictures so I ordered one. It's every bit as attractive as the described and it works like a champ, right out of the box. I've already re-filled it once and it continues to work very well. It looks like it will last for a few years

Works perfectly. Very powerful flame, strong build quality. My only complaint is it's a little bulky. Not somthing I would want to carry in my pocket.

I purchased this twice, now I have 2 lighters that do not work - sorry to only give 2 stars as this is so typical of all lighters, even the expensive ones for the last 20 years. Why is it so hard to make a lighter for cigars that last more than 6 months? I am using the topest notch Xykar fluid. Same old same old....

I bought this to bring on trips where I had cigars to light, as my desktop butane torch was too big and heavy to constantly pack. This looks and feels like a much more expensive lighter than it is. The flip up lid includes a mirror to view how well the end of your cigar is lit, which is a convenient addition. I personally don't use the include cigar punch in the bottom, but it seems to be very sturdy and rather sharp. In a pinch, I could definitely see myself using that if I didn't have a guillotine cutter. The flame from the 3 ports is hot and bright, lighting even the thickest gauge cigars effortlessly.The only negative I've found is that the hinge on the 'lid' of this lighter seems poorly made. Mine has already lost it's ability to fully snap shut. It will still rest flat on the top of the lighter, but if you tip the lighter upside down, the roof flops open. When I first purchased, it was very tight and had no play in it. It didn't make it even a full month of light usage before becoming sloppy. A small complaint for a cheap butane pocket lighter, but still the only reason for 3/5 instead of 5/5 stars.

I had trouble with other torch lighters which were single-jet. I stupidly started using cheap butane that clogged the jets in time.The three jets on this model seem to keep the clogging issue at bay, since as long as one jet lights it will keep the others lit as well, and keep the crud burned off. (Still, I highly recommend using good quality butane, such as Vector Quintuple Refined, which I used to resurrect my gunked up single-jet lighters.)The triple jets are perfect for lighting up a cigar. The thumb lever to ignite the jets is well away from the flame so you can hold the flame on without getting a scorched thumb. There's a viewer to check on fuel status. The fuel capacity seems fine to me - sure you're burning three times as fast, but you will light the cigar in less time so the fuel consumption is about the same per light as a single jet. The punch cutter on the bottom is sharp enough to cut a good hole (though I prefer a guillotine style such as on my Blazer, which I also highly recommend as long as you use good quality butane).I'm not so keen on the pouch that came with the lighter, since the slick finish on the lighter lets it slide out of the pouch too easily in your pocket. But the lighter is so good I don't want to dock the rating over that.

have have had tons of cheap cigar lighters and this one is my favorite so far. The torch is strong and fires up right away. I really like the little window that shows you how much fluid is left in the lighter, so you don't just run out without even knowing you were low. The only think keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the cover doesn't flip up automatically when you click the button to light it. You have to open it up first manually.

This lighter is built like a tank - no faults for the quality or lighting capabilities, but check your fuel level after each use and it drops down significantly! You better have a year's supply of butane on hand to keep it filled!
