Yes, but I would avoid this, within a couple of uses the scoop breaks, after my last feedback, the seller refunded me and sent me 3 as replacement for free, all broke, even when I used the last one with mash potatoes! They are just landfill fodder.

Anyone ever use this for cupcakes batter?

Yes, I just made 2 dozen bakery style chocolate muffins using the medium scoop. It was perfect size,( I got the set of 3) but the muffins did come above the tin but I used tulip cases so they were great. If you use regular cases the battery would spill over. ( I have 12 cup Yorkshire pudding / muffin tin that is perfect for the medium scoop)

Not heavy duty, it's ok for soft/medium ice-cream and I use for potatoes.
