2014 Quady Essensia Orange Muscat Wine 750 mL

Great dessert wine. Sweet with a kick !

I first tasted Quady Essensia decades ago, and it hasn't changed over the years. It remains an economical choice for a dessert wine. It's sweet, making it a good counterpoint to sharper cheese like roquefort (think of drizzling honey on a strong cheese) and a good complement to sweet desserts, with or without fruit. I find the flavor closer to apricot than orange, but, hey, orange muscat is the name of the grape rather than the actual taste.Quady Essensia was the first true dessert wine I had tasted, and it acted like training wheels for the more complex and more expensive Sauternes.
