Kingston ValueRAM 16GB 2133MHz DDR4 ECC CL15 SODIMM 2Rx8 Laptop Memory (KVR21SE15D8/16)

Purchased to upgrade RAM in my Lenovo Thinkpad P70. Works as expected. I purchased the laptop with base config of 16GB ECC RAM, which was installed as a single stick under the keyboard in slot 1. Installed this Kingston RAM in slot 3 initially to test it, which did not work - wouldn't POST. Removed the Kingston stick and installed it in slot 2 under the keyboard instead. That worked. So factory installed 16GB ECC stick in slot 1, Kingston 16GB ECC stick in slot 2, both under the keyboard. Ran memtest86+ 5.01 in single core mode for about 16 hours and passed successfully 3 times without errors. I do not know if this RAM will work on its own without the factory stick already installed, but I can vouch for it as an addition. Have only had it in the laptop for a couple days, but no issues thus far.Another note, in order to get UBCD USB stick (created from the UBCD ISO with rufus boot) to boot so I could run memtest86+, I had to enter the BIOS, disable Secure Boot and change boot mode from UEFI/Legacy Boot to "Both", then select the USB stick via the F12 boot menu. I changed the settings back after running the diag and it booted back into Windows 10 just fine. Typing this review from the laptop now.2016/12/9 Update:I purchase two more sticks and installed them. Ran memtest86+ for about 21 hours with no issues. So bank 1: factory Lenovo installed 16GB ECC stick. Bank 2-4 are populated with these Kingston sticks. Had to disable secure boot to get it to recognize the configuration change, then re-enable secure boot, but I think that's just some Lenovo BIOS weirdness.

Ricevute con un giorno di anticipo, grazie Amazon! son arrivate imballate al meglio, ciscuna nella sua confezione originale, sigillata e con sigilli integri (era la prima volta che le vedevo nelle loro scatolette originali, dotate anche libretto della garanzia) a loro volta (ne ho prese 4) unite tra loro e avvolte in un più che generoso strato di pluriball. Appena ricevute non ricordavo nemmeno quale pacchetto dovessi ricevere e la sorpresa di vederle cosi imballate mi ha fatto più che piacere. Montate e testate sembra che vadano bene, sono del tipo a correzione d'errore (ECC) quindi occhio, a parte che son rarissime da trovare vanno bene solo per chi ha Cpu XEON! Chi non la possiede le può usare lo stesso, funzionano benissimo, ma si perde le funzioni avanzate che son gestite solo degli XEON. Queste sono SODIMM; cioè per portatili, modello DDR4, 2133 MHz, da 16 Gb l'una, PC4, CL15, ECC 260 pin. Il numero di serie è: KVR21SE15D8/16 della Kingston, se volete vedere le caratteristiche sul sito della Kingstone, e ovviamente, sono garantite avita come t utte le memorie di quel produttore. La scritt SE dice proprio che sono memorie a correzione d'errore (ECC). Le ho prese per il mio nuovo portatile, una workstatio della Lenovo, in cui il produttore le faceva pagare un occhio della testa perche erano marchiate Lenovo...per cui..le lo prese qua! aspetto di testarle a fondo ma per ora son state riconsciute e stanno funzionando....
