2018 ford fiesta st high beams
Awesome all weather high beams. Work really well in the rain fog and snow!

Exactly what I expected
I bought these bulbs to use as high beams on an aftermarket HID projector kit I bought for my truck (the high beams on that particular model are halogen and are not projector). These are exactly what I expected and well worth the $14 I spent on them. They are about as bright as a standard 65W high beam bulb. I say this because they are 100W (brighter) but they use a blue tint (which reduced light output) to reduce the yellow in the light and make them appear whiter. The result is a bulb which is about the same brighness, whiter, and a much shorter lifespan. I highly recommend carrying spares of these bulbs if you don't want a ticket for driving with a headlight out. Also, while they are much whiter than regular halogen bulbs, they are not as white as my 6000k HIDs (which I also expected). All in all, I got exactly what I expected plus spares for what I consider a very resonable price. For that reason I give these five stars.

Works great in a 2006 CR-V
When I buy a bulb, I tend to favor life over the trendy colors people are putting in there these days. A good, bright, white light is all you need, and that's what these Hella bulbs give you.My previous bulbs were a set of Osram Night Breakers. While, much to the dismay of the other drivers on the road, these bulbs were extremely bright I discovered about 8 months later that the brightness came at the cost of longevity. One of them burned out in less than a year of occasional use, so I came to Hella for a less extreme bulb.So far these are working great. The color is crisp and white, and the brightness, while it does not reach the level of the Osrams, is more than sufficient. On closer inspection, the bulbs look well built. In the picture of the CR-V, the right light is the Hella, and the left is the Osram. You can see that the color is the same.

Great for the Price!!
Decent halogen for the price. Standard yellowish light output. 2k nigh driving miles & still going strong.

Bulbs exploded in less than 2 months
The base of the bulbs have ruptured after less than 2 months. I made sure to not touch any of the glass when installing. Very poor quality and would not purchase again.

Hella is/was a quality brand for many years
Hella is/was a very trusted name 20-30 years ago, things change and I see now they are no longer built in Germany. Time will tell if they are still good. The packaging was BAD, a glass bulb in a thin cardboard box in a plastic bag. Box was crushed a little but bulb appears to be intact.

Short Life - Both bulbs burnt out in 3.5 months - 1,900 miles
I appreciated the light produced from these bulbs (55W H1 12V), but they didn't last very long. I installed them on 2/8/23 and the first one burnt out on 5/20/23 and the second bulb followed on 5/28/23. Normally I've been getting about 1 to 1.5 years and 7,000 miles out of the aftermarket bulbs I've been using. Note that I've installed many halogen bulbs over the years and know how to insure that the bulb surface is not contaminated during installation. Note also that I have checked my battery for load fluctuations to see if there was an electrical surge that affected the bulbs. The battery has tested out ok.I have attempted to obtain warranty replacement for the bulbs through Amazon but they do not want to seem to honor the manufacturer's warranty of one year. I contacted Hella directly about this and they indicate that as an Amazon partner, Amazon is supposed to process the warranty. Well, I'll believe that when I see a set of new bulbs. The person I talked with at Hella was helpful and may be processing a warranty replacement as I write this but I have not heard back from them yet.I may try purchasing the Hella Long Life 55W bulbs, but since Amazon seems not to want to warrant them per the manufacturer, I believe I'll shop for them elsewhere.UPDATE on 6/1/23: A representative with Hella contacted me indicating that they are honoring their warranty and will be sending me a pair of new bulbs.
