Best running shoes ever for non-runner
These are my first ever pair of ASICS shoes. I bought them as a recommendation from a friend who runs long distance event constantly. I tried running with other shoes and had knee pain after 10 minutes. But not with these! They are light and very cushioned, super comfortable!I know there is a lot that goes into play to fit and comfort as it is a very individual thing. I can say they worked wonders in my case. They run true to size and are very light and breathable.

ASICS Men's Gel-Nimbus Lite 2 Running Shoes
I had read some negative reviews on these "ASICS Men's Gel-Nimbus Lite 2 Running Shoes". Being I'm a snob about shoes I'm very happy with the build quality fit and finish of this shoes. I like the extra wide soles since I have weak ankles from playing sport when I was young. The shoes are very light and will break in nicely. They fit like they we're custom made for my feet. For years I wore New Balance exclusively. But I ha e seen that brand quality fade. I have another pair of Asics that are about $100 more then these. And they are close. The question is how will these hod up over time. I struggle to find shoes because I refuse anything with white. The teal on these are blue teal and the picture on Amazon it accurate. I recommend them for comfort and value. If you need extra comfort. Go with Asics Nimbus 24 or better. Never go cheap on shoes. You will pay for it later.

Super cushioned ride for neutral gates
200 lbs athletic, tall, size 13, wide-ish forefoot, slight underpronation heel to mid foot striker -- these fit the bill for when you want a super pillowy ride and very flexible front to rear and side to side feel with less structure.Very, very soft cushioning throughout. I thought the cushioning might be a bit too soft and tire out my calves. I can happily say though that after putting in 5 miles on the first run I had no complaints. I barely even thought about my runners after a few minutes -- which is good. I wasn't going to set any records in them but I felt as if I could easily pick up the pace when I wanted to. No Achilles issues. I run with running-specific socks with the tab in the back that covers my Achilles so that may have helped with the issues that others reported and prevented any chafing. No pressure points or hotspots either.Great shoe for big runners with neutral gates that aren't trying to be especially fast and just want to run and forget about their footwear while they do.UPDATE: At 90 miles they're still going strong with no issues whatsoever. They are now my go-to trainer. Still as comfortable as on day 1!

Great walking shoe
This is a great walking shoe for seniors. I'm on my fourth pair. I have muscle weakness in my lower legs (peripheral neuropathy) and need a springy shoe to give me an "assist" for each step. The squishy heel provides that and enables me to walk more miles than possible in a stiffer shoe. Although not lightweight (but still lighter than the gel nimbus) the springiness more than makes up for it. I've tried minimalist running shoes and, although featherweight, they have so little bounce they're hard to walk in. I tried the Gel Nimbus Lite version 3, and found the version 2 bouncier. See also the review below "Super cushioned ride for neutral shoes;" that person also reviewed the version 3 and makes a similar distinction between them. Great service by the seller, Shoe city; arrived in perfect condition in less than a week and they paid the shipping (although $130 might be a little pricey for an old model). The version 2 was discontinued two or three years ago and is hard to find, so grab it while you can. I'm not sure Asics even makes the Gel Nimbus Lite any more.

Great Shoe!!!!
I used to wear the regular Gel-Nimbus when I was running half marathons. I got out of running for quite a while but getting back into in short distances through sprint triathlons. I bought a pair of the Gel-Nimbus Lite 2 and I absolutely love running in these shoes. I do have some problems with arches but my feet feel great in these shoes. They have the right amount of cushioning, which is important since I have lower back and knee issues as well. I will definitely keep buying these shoes for doing the running distances that I do.
