My remote that came with the air conditioner dies periodically. So I looked for a replacement remote, thinking I wouldn't find one. I'm so glad I found this! All you do is put in two AA batteries and hit the start button on the remote! No set up or programming.. It's so easy! My AC is a wall unit that is high up on the wall and I can't reach the buttons. So I really needed a remote. It's great!

We bought a new home and in the sunroom was an older Kenmore window AC unit that was mounted near the floor. The previous owners didn't leave a remote and with the unit being so close to the floor, it was difficult to operate.This remote fixed that problem. Put batteries in and it worked instantly.

This replacement is better than the original for the reasons stated by other reviewers, and one other reason--it has a much greater range than the original. My original remote worked only within about 6 feet of the A/C. This replacement does the job from 20 feet. Great value too.
