what thickness of leather can this sew?

Toolly are you saying it can only sew maybe a 1/4" thick material? i need to do 2-4 layers of 8 once leather. will it sew up to 1/2"

How many barrings does this have?

Mine has 1 main roller bearing on the crankshaft behind the main wheel and a sleeve bearing at the opposite end of the shaft in the pillow block. There are also 2 roller bearings located at the end of the rods that travel in the elliptical grooves cut in the back of the handwheel. There is a single roller bearing in one of the 2 cams. The pivot points of the arms are just holes drilled through the arms that slide onto they're respective shafts. They do have drilled holes for oiling however. My machine is nicely made and would sew right out of the box. I'm happy with it.

Will this work with 1 mm waxed thread?

Waxed thread is for hand sewing and should not be used in this machine. not sure about the 1 mm size. check out mainely acres on you tube he has a number helpful videos.
