2015 Nanolux 600w Dual Digital Dimmable E-Ballast MH HPS Grow Light

Great ballast, does what it's suppose to but it already went out on me. Can't rate it poorly really since it does it's job, one just happened to go kaput.Only ballast that's new that's a dual 600 as far as I know. Hopefully I can get a replacement and get it back up and running.

When these ballasts aren't messed up due to shipping or a manufacturer malfunction, these ballasts are great! Unfortunately, that has been rare for me. I have installed quite a few of these within the the last 6 months (~30). The first batch I picked up for a build ran flawless. I returned a few due to broken dials in shipment, but the ballasts themselves worked great. I really enjoy the ability to run double the lights off each light controller. More companies need to offer these. Lumatek had a version but it had such a long footprint and they were very expensive. So thank you Nanolux!The bad: Nanolux is working with a terrible manufacturer. This manufacturing company is so inconsistent. Let me explain. I have purchased ~30 of these within the last 6 months for various builds. The first batch was perfect, except a few broken dials due to the ineffective packaging. I fell in love. The second batch was similar, except it was difficult to get the last few ballasts I needed so I hit a back stock. The third batch was ordered when the back stock was filled, this batch was all sorts of messed up and took 3 weeks to arrive. The fans are so loud I can hear them running in the entire house, imagine a humming in the background for 18 hours. These ballasts are running very hot. So hot they are effecting the temp of the room due to the radiant heat. So I see a fan breaking on these soon and a noise the won't quit. I'm returning this entire batch, because it's an obvious manufacturer defect. I just received a 4th batch (back ordered for weeks and they appear to have fixed some of the issues from the prior batch. The casing is slightly darker, it runs much cooler and almost silent compared to the previous models. I'm going to reach out to them and see if I can get the new batch.The packaging is so ineffective. It is painful to open so many ballast boxes and see broken dials, twisted and crunched mounting brackets. I just opened a six pack box and all of them were ripped up. How do they do this to the boxes? It's almost criminal. I don't know how many ballasts I have sent back to Nanolux, but I check every ballast immediately because of the shipping damage.The fan runs 24/7 which can be annoying due to noise, but I just unplug them if I want it silent.A+ for the concept. When the product arrives how it is designed, it's 5 stars. It's s gamble with every box

Arrived quick, was as described I have no complaints. seller was quick to respond and fix my problem when I received a 120 power cord and needed a 240 cord

Fan runs 24-7 with or without the lights on. Time will tell

I bought four of these in 2016 one blew out last year and two more blew out within the past month. It's a great light it grows awesome but only if you're willing to replace it every three or four years. There's a three-year warranty for a reason that's about the life of the unit
