I recently converted an old desktop PC into a media station for my living room to watch films, browse the internet, and play classic games like Tomb Raider and Age of Empires on the main TV. After upgrading the operating system, hard drive, and graphics card, I decided to complete the overhaul by boosting its memory from 8GB to 16GB.I had never heard of this brand before and had never used any of their memory products, so I was a bit hesitant. However, the option for same-day delivery was exactly what I needed, so I decided to give them a try. I'm thrilled that I did!The memory modules arrived quickly and were well-packaged, ensuring they were in perfect condition. I opted for the 16GB kit (2x8GB) instead of a single 8GB stick due to the excellent price. The installation process was straightforward and quick: shut down your desktop, unplug the power cable, hold the power button to discharge any remaining power, open the clips at the side of the old memory modules, remove them, slide the new modules into the slots, and push down on the modules to lock them in place. After plugging the power cable back in and powering the desktop on, I was all set. Viewing the new memory capacity in Task Manager confirmed everything was installed correctly.Both sticks worked flawlessly without any stability or compatibility issues with my motherboard. With a speed of 1333MHz, these modules aren't the fastest on the market, but for my purposes – using the desktop as a media centre and playing older, less demanding games – they are more than sufficient. Gamers looking to upgrade might prefer faster modules, but these have made a noticeable difference to my system's performance.Several months in, the memory modules continue to perform perfectly. I've even run some memory benchmark tests and found no issues. As mentioned before, they aren't the fastest modules available, but they do the job admirably. At their current price for two modules, they offer fantastic value for money, and I was even able to get them the same day, which I really appreciated.If you're looking for an affordable way to upgrade or replace the memory in an older desktop, I highly recommend these modules. Perfect for a budget build

Does exactly what I bought it for to help speed up my ageing desktop. Works perfectly.

Installed fine. HP documentation says 8gb is the max you can put in but a Google of the motherboard name suggested that HP documentation was wrong. That is correct it will go up to 16gb with 2x8gb. No problems.I kept to the current speed of the SIMM, when I upgraded from 4gb to 8gb there was something about the speed issue, so kept at that.I did what was suggested, take it into the boot screen at switch on tapping F10... till it appears. Check memory then boot up. No issues.With the Windows Subsystem for Android wanting ~6gb (min of 4gb) to coexist with normal apps, the 8gb the machine had in it wasn't enough. How to get these i3 system with Windows 11 to function with WSA is online, the missing bit was the memory boost to 16gb to bring it inline with current spec of memory. So the units gone from a Windows 7 machine with 4gb as bought. Windows 10 putting in 8gb with SSD to Windows 11 with 16gb and your favourite Android apps available as well (some of).Footnote time:i3 motherboards are reckoned to work at 16GB memory storage. Documentation at the time often says 8GB as the maximum. Generally it's been proven to be wrong, so they will support 2x8GB strips (16GB in total). These come in two forms PC3-10700 this product and PC3-12800 the faster product but backwards compatible to PC3-10700.i3 processors won't generally support the speed of PC3-12800 memory so they auto switch down or just run at PC3-10700 speed. This product is called PC3L 10600U at 1333MHz (the slower one). The other one runs at 16000Mhz. There is no improvement in buying the faster product if the motherboard does not support this speeds (blue packaged chips).This product PC3-10700 had a Samsung chipset shown by the CPU-Z analysis software. This could be different dependent on what was used at the time of manufacture (the green ones). The faster was found to be SK-Hynix chips (PC3 12800 operating at 16000Mhz) (the blue ones).In fact, I bought both, but did some research after. You can load up the free public domain software CPU-Z this will give you diagnostics on what is installed and supported. The third tab shows as Memory under DRAM Frequency shows you the maximum chip speed the motherboard can support. You take that figure and multiple by 2. In my case the figure was 655Mhz x 2 which means the motherboard only operates at 1333Mhz chipset - this review.Using benchmarking, software PerformanceTest from the Microsoft Store showed that the Samsung chip set seemed to give better performance than the SK-Hynix chips with the over spec performance. I took the unit apart and put the Samsung chipset back in, the Green strip ones. Save yourself some money and not by the over specced ones doesn't offer anything if the motherboard cant support it.Bottom line green chipset is fine for the i3. The blue chipset can be used, but testing suggested in this case it wasn't quite so fast operating at the lower speed. They were both dated 2018 according to the CPU analysis software.

It's ddr3 so not fast but it's works what more can I ask for from ddr3

Works fine, and chosen to match the single 8gb stick of 2666 / CL19 DDR4 that was already in my spare HP Omen laptop, which has two slots available. There is a significant improvement at full-load eg. gaming, by using both slots, if your laptop has that. eg. 2x sticks of matching 4gb RAMS works a lot faster than 1x stick of 8gb, at least with DDR3 & 4. Of course, 2x 8gb sticks is even better!For note, this isn't the same with the latest PCs using DDR5 memory, where 1x stick is just as fast as 2x sticks of the same combined size (because DDR5 is dual-rank on each stick).

Transformed the performance of my wife’s laptop.Easy enough to install, saved hundreds on the price of a new laptop. (I upgraded the SSD & wireless card to Wifi6 whilst I had the computer’s bottom off).

I did some research before placing the order, and the memory matches my laptop Lenovo G480 well.I hoped to increase from 4G to 2x4G, but my laptop missed the second memory socket, which I can only blame Lenovo.
