No real problems here
I have no trouble getting the bit storage compartment open, unlike some reviewers. Maybe my fingers are stronger, or maybe theirs was defective, I don't know. I also can pull the bit out of the end just fine; the magnet is definitely strong, but I see this as a good thing. The magnetic field is conducted through the bit well enough that it can hold a small screw pretty well.I do find it a little difficult to pry the bits out of the storage compartment, but I manage. It's nice that they won't fall out accidentally.I would have preferred a #0 Phillips bit instead of a #3. The packaging actually says it has a #0, and I said "Cool!" when I saw that, but it turned out to be wrong. The online description is correct. I might try to find a #0 bit that will fit in the compartment (these are very short bits), but I'll probably never bother. The adjustable length works well, once you figure out that you have to push in the little plate at its base, similar to a quick-release drill chuck. You can also remove it and put a bit directly in the handle, if you want it even shorter, but the bit isn't held in place. I thought maybe it would stay in place if I clamped it in by pushing on the plate, but then pushing on the bit can push it all the way in - don't do that! I'm not sure how hard it would be to get out again.

Perfect for DIY around the House
This product is well built, compact and fits the hand well. I mainly use it for small electrical projects around the house which it is almost perfect for, the only draw back being is does not come with a #1 ecx bit. But that is not a show stopper. The tool works well, it is a good value for the money, and Klein stands behind their products.

Great for a junk drawer tool but one tiny flaw
Overall, this is a good tool, love the adjustable stem and the bit mount at the end holds the bit well. Has a few different sized drivers good for small tasks like taking battery doors off, or tightening an outlet cover or little around-the-house repairs, not for serious work. The only issue I have with it is the clips in the handle that hold the extra bits might as well be tack welded. If you need a tool to use your tool, your tool isn't much of a tool. I've taken to removing the stem, using the current bit to pry the next bit out of the clips to change out the driver end. It's a pain in the neck. Other than that, this is a handy-dandy tool to have around.

Great little screwdriver that I didn't know I needed
The Klein Stubby 8-in-1 is the screwdriver you didn't know you needed. The handle of the screwdriver has about 1.5" of grippable area, with another 3/4" of plastic at the bottom that quickly tapers down to the shank area. The top of the handle slides up to reveal a carousel with 6 slots for hexagonal bits. Bits are held in the shank with a magnetized holder. The kid includes 3 phillips, 2 slotted, and 2 robertson bits. The shank of the screwdriver is hexagonal and has 3 graduated markings approximately 1/2" apart. The shank is held into the handle of the screwdriver using an internal clamping system. Releasing the clamp allows the shank to be adjusted to different positions (clamping on to the markings) or removed completely. The screwdriver is 4" from the top of the handle to the end of the bit when the shank is fully recessed and 5" when extended to the last locking position.I own several other Klein tools and this is made with the same quality. Because of the size of the handle, it's not something that I'd use for every-day work or for anything where having a solid grip matters. But it's great for tossing in a drawer or keeping somewhere handy for those times when need a screwdriver. Bought one on a whim and will be picking up a few more to stash.

Very convenient to operate
I recently added this short-handled screwdriver to my tool collection, and I’m very happy with its performance. The compact size makes it incredibly easy to maneuver in tight spaces, which is perfect for working on electronics, appliances, or small parts that require precision.

Love these little screwdrivers
Another rare 5 star review. Top notch stubby screwdriver. It is designed so that you press a little collar at the bottom of the handle, and you can extend the shank to one of several settings, or remove it completely. When removed completely, the 1/4 hex shank can be used in a drill, or even an impact driver, as the shank and bits are all impact rated. The bits store securely under the top cap of the handle. There are little 'notches' you grab to access the bits. The bit holder is captive in that it will not pop out of the handle and scatter the bits all around. The bits are a bit of a challenge to get out the first few times until the bit holder loosens up, but I'd much rather have it on the tight side than the loose side where the bits could fall out. The handle itself is comfortable and grippy. Honestly, I couldn't tell you how to improve it. It is about the best balance I can find for being both compact and able to get into tight places, yet being substantial enough to really be put to use. That the shank is extendable/removable and everything is impact rated is just icing on the cake. The bits are very well made and fit precisely.
