Cotton Handkerchiefs for Men Thick Soft Turkish White Cotton, 12 Pack

I started carrying a handkerchief in my back pocket several years ago. You wouldn’t believe how handy it is! I have ordered these twice because they’re relatively thick and 100% cotton. I wash them in hot water then dry on very, very low heat. I promise the pictures here with terrible looking hankies were people who dried them on high heat or who don’t know how to use an iron. If you want them to be nice and flat you have to iron them after washing, there’s no way around it. That’s what you get with a 100% cotton! I’m really satisfied with these, and they’re cheap enough that I can afford to sacrifice one every now and then, like when I cut my hand fishing and needed something to stop the bleeding.

Pros: I have purchased other cotton handkerchiefs from Amazon before. I hate them because they are thin and hard and stiff when you get them. You must wash them to make them soft. OK, Handkerchiefs. What do I want from from a handkerchief. I want durability. I want them to last. and I want them to be soft on my nose. The ones I purchased before on Amazon were cheaper but they were thinner. They were stiff like starched when I got them. They hurt my nose. They got better after washing them, but then they started falling apart. These are thicker, but even unwashed are better quality. They are thicker, a little thicker. These have a nice weave design in the edges. So they are not just cut pieces of cotton cloth with a stiched edge. These seem to be better quality. Right from the box, they feel heavier.Cons: From the shipping box, I first thought I was not receiving the 24 pieces I expected. I later found out out that they fold two handkerchiefs together. They first thing I did was wash them together with other cotton T-Shirts. After one wash, these are the best handkerchiefs I have ever owned. I wish there was a USA manufacturer of this quality. I have not found one. After a first wash, these maintain their squareness. They are much softer on my nose than the other cotton ones I have purchased before. I like the pattern in the cloth. I think these are great for gifting. Buy these, wash them then have them monogrammed. These would be a great gift.

These hankies are large enough, thick enough, and soft enough, for me; and that is saying something. My nose has been broken-in several directions-several times over decades of a violent life in, and out of, the military. My sinuses are very disrupted, and my nose alternately plugs up, and drains, with every change in temperature. When using Kleenex, I go through abox, or more, per day. It pays me to use hankies instead. As often as I blow, and wipe, my nose, it become sore when using Kleenex. There is no pain when using these hankies. I bought a set of these, to try them out; as I had found other hankies to be worthless: too thin, too rough, or such. These are fine, so I am buying more.

When I opened the box, I initially thought I had made an unfortunate purchase. The handkerchiefs seemed thinner and tougher than expected. However, I took a chance and washed them. The weave tightened up nicely and they are strong AND soft. If dried at a low temperature they come out maintaining their shape and with only a few wrinkles, which is great since I loath ironing. A good value.

The packaging was quite nice and they looked great but after half dozen or more uses, my nose felt irritated. When I looked closely I could see that my nose was raw - like the top layer of skin was wiped off. I washed them in Woolite hoping that would be enough to soften them but to no avail.Honestly, I'm never really comfortable giving Bad Reviews to someone's business - the thing that they do support their family. Then, I realized that a person never truly grows if they if they don't get constructive criticism.

These are nicer than the really cheap pretty ones I've purchased. They are not thick by any means, but they are thicker than others. They are also a little softer. I decided to rinse them in vinegar when I wash them to try to soften them up. Too soon to tell. I am sure they will soften with use.

These will lose a large prcentage of their size when washed. In addition, they come out of the washer as a mess of fabric. You get what you pay for so if you want nothing, this is your product.
