Why will their be damage on the box

Hi Carty the item is a store return and it looks like the clear part was unattached from the box. The Barbie and items are still attached as they come from the factory but that is what I meant by damage to the box. It is held on by tape now and everything inside the box has not been touched.

Finally got mine off! It required a lot of downward pulling and trying to widen the gap in the back of the shoe with my nails as well. My fingers hurt now and am sure my daughter will ask for help changing shoes again in 2 minutes. Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Good luck!
