Braun KF570 10-Cup Coffee Maker, 220-240 Volts (Non-USA Compliant) European Cord

So happy to have a Braun coffee maker back in my house. I'm in Australia so needed to have the 220-240v. As expected from Braun, this coffee maker is good quality and so easy to use. Nicely designed too. Love it!

I know exactly, what I bought - this German product is exactly, what I accept for my needs.But I missed the adapter for the power plug. That was a bit of a shame.

This is an excellent coffee maker and we are using it at least once a day. We have had it for two years and the only failure has been a break in the mechanism that holds on the lid of the carafe. It still works, but the lid will pop off. We have ordered a replacement carafe, but they seem to be hard to come by; in fact we had to order one in white. We are in Australia so needed a 220v and it is FAR better than anything else we have found here for a drip coffee maker. The cost is a bit high for a drip coffee maker, but the shipping was reasonable. Buy some good beans, grind them, and use them in the coffee maker and you will have a good pot of hot coffee.

The item was made for Europe and was not adaptable to US voltage nor could it be used in a US electrical outlet..

Probably the best coffee maker I ever had. Actually we have had the KF590, which also provides a programmable auto mode. Why we cannot have it anymore, here in the nation which once flew to the moon? Because Braun was purchased by an industrial klotz called "Procter & Gamble", and there arrogant big-corporate "suits" did not really recognized what iconic, and unique brand it is. Apple's chief designer on many occasions copied Braun's shapes and designs, many museums of modern art keep their devices on display as an example of things which changes our lives, and became a part of virtually every household. Procter and Gamble 1st killed off the sales of Braun in the US, than they sold off Braun appliances to DeLonghi(!!). And that's that.My Braun stopped working after many years of service, after which 2 other brand devices have died in 10-11 months each (Pseudo Krups Made in China and Capresso), and so I am back in the search for a coffee maker, with merely a few simple criterions, nothing really extraordinary:1) have a separate flap for cold water, to not to spill cold water over the grains (like in these horrible Cuisineart's for example),2) use a cone filter, because the basket filters with wet grains are falling apart, and the grains often all over the kitchen,3) not too tall, to prevent that we have to pull the device forward to fill in water, and push back into place, over and over.Is it really that "complicated" to grasp, that we cannot find any such device in the Land Of Unlimited Possibilities ?Procter and Gamble: Shame on you, I am so angry, that I am making my best effort to avoid any of your brands.

This is the second example we've had of this kind of Braun coffee filter machine. It is substantially the same as the first one, from which it differs only in minor detail. The coffee it makes is excellent and it's very easy and straightforward to use.We've found that it's very important not to neglect the regular water-filter replacement, especially in hard-water areas, otherwise the machine will get clagged up with limescale. In our first machine this eventually caused internal spillage and leakage which ultimately got into the electrics and killed the appliance. Our fault for not taking a minute or two every couple of months to do what we should. With the new one we're filling it with already-filtered water instead of plain tap water and we have a supply of the proper KWF2 filters.Just a couple of minor niggles: the automatic switch-off works fine, but the indicator light in the rocker switch is very small and less easy to see than the one in the previous model, in which the whole switch glowed orange when on. It also seems that the fit and finish of physical parts like the water-compartment lid are a tiny bit sloppy and not quite as exact and precise as in the older example. None of this affects its ability to do its job, which so far it seems to do perfectly well.

Diese maschine ist nicht bezahlbar.Da ich hier in griechenland vor Ort so schlechtes wasser habe das alle anderen Maschinen schon nach 2 bis 3 monate kaputt sind.Hatten wir uns zum zweiten mal fuer diese maschine entschieden und ich finde es klasse das sie auch hier her gesendet .Die maschine hatte ich als erstes ,dann nach 6 ganzen ueberstandenen jahren und zwei drei fehlkauefe habe wir uns wieder dafuer entschieden und werden es immer wieder tun.Die Fielterkatusche bei schlechtem wassergehalt ein muss mit gr.plusspunkt.Die automatische abschaltung ein muss (fuer uns)da bei chaosfamilie mal das ausschalten vergessen werden kann.Super Idee und auch emphehlenswert topp.Das aussehn der Maschine ,naja es gibt schoenere aber das geht ja nur drum das der kaffee schnell und lecker durchlauft.Der kaffee schmeckt auch lecker durch super Filtersyhstem .Alles in allem super erfindung und jeder zeit den Kaufwert und auch der Preis stimmt wenn man viel Kaffee trinkt und auch geniessen moechte.

Wir besitzen bereits das Modell mit Timer seit 2011 und bereits 2014 habe ich diese Maschine für unseren Sohn gekauft. Unsere verrichtet ihren Dienst übrigens noch heute.Nach Sichtung vieler Modelle in den großen Märkten hatte ich mich wieder für diese Maschine entschieden. Bei vielen wirken die Plastikteile zerbrechlich oder die Handhabung ist einfach schlecht.Positiv:- einfache Handhabung- alle Teile lassen sich gut reinigen- keine billigen Plastiknüppel an wichtigen Verbindungen, sondern relativ hochwertige Verarbeitung- Maschinen hatten von Anfang an KEINEN störenden Plastikgeruch- der Kaffee schmeckt (habe schon einige Maschinen besessen und das ist leider nicht selbstverständlich)- die hier bemängelte Lautstärke ist relativ, wir können das nicht bestätigen- Die Dosierskala der Wasseranzeige ist sehr gut abgestimmt mit der Kanne. Fülle ich die Menge Wasser für z.B. 6 Tassen ein, kommen diese auch unten heraus. Der Kaffee lässt sich so perfekt dosieren, von schwach bis stark.Negativ:- bei unserem Modell von 2011 wurde der schwenkbare Filter nicht zu 100 % verdeckt, wenn er eingerastet war. Ein ganz kleiner Spalt blieb vorne übrig, so dass sich beim Brühvorgang etwas Feuchtigkeit auf der oberen Abdeckung sammelte. Diese trocknete jedoch rasch wieder ab. Irgendetwas ist da wohl produktionstechnisch bedingt verschoben, wenn man vorne drückt, passt alles perfekt aufeinander. Ich hatte dieses Problem in einer anderen Rezension gelesen, mich aber nicht davon abschrecken lassen.Bei der im März 2014 bestellten Maschine gibt es das Problem nicht.Alles in allem: Ich würde diese Kaffeemaschine immer wieder kaufen. Ich hoffe, unsere mit Timer hält noch lange, da es diese Ausführung nicht mehr gibt. Sie ist ansonsten aber baugleich mit dem aktuellen Modell.
